Who should be India's next test captain?

Rahul (long term)

Rohit (short term till WTC final)

Pant (long term)

Ashwin (short term till WTC final) 

Bumrah (maybe will be vice captain)

 

Kohli giving up captaincy in between from test cricket looks bit immature to me. He didn't let youngster develop & kept backing pujara & rahane at #3 & #5 so there is no successor for him in test cricket. He should have stayed till end of WTC cycle atleast. For now i guess i will go with Rohit as captain along with Pant as vice captain till end of WTC.

Ideally I'd like Pant to take over but it'll most likely be Rohit until atleast the end of this cycle.

Rohit. He is indias best test batsman for last two years. Rahul was not even going to play england series till mayank got injured. Let rahul be more consistent. He is gradually getting into groove.

The only players with a guaranteed place in the team regardless of conditions are Pant and Bumrah. Make Pant the captain.

Ashwin is a smart aleck, he should be kept away from leadership roles. I think Rohit will be captain looking at options available. His deputy can be Pant.

Yes considering he was vice captain on last BGT and was made permanent VC after t20 worldcup.

rohit by a country mile. i don't know enough about the younguns to speculate on how they would perform with the added responsibility and media attention / duties

Are there any views of Dravid about Rohit as a  test player. I think Dravid will take a Pujara or Rahane over Rohit. KL seems a long term option
