Rohit seems to be backing him. Has been publicly supporting him and has said getting him back to form is one of the things he will look to do.

 

Dravid isn't much of a fan. He was missing Pandya and Jadeja instead of backing youngsters including Venky Iyer. Thankfully Venky has slapped him hard in the last two games in the best way he can.

Feel sad for Rahane. He is a class batsman. He should get more chances. His contribution in test cricket has been enormous. 

 

Jayant Yadav has a strong lobby in selection committee for sure.

 

Kuldeep has been rushed for no reasons.

 

My Opinionated opinion:

 

Waste of time selections from long term planning point of view :  Mayank Agarwal, Priyanka Panchal, Shreyas Iyer, Hanuma Vihari, Jayant Yadav, Umesh Yadav.

Jayant Yadav is basically a stand in for him.
