SKY ruled out of remainder of IPL

Lots of time before WT20.

We have T20 series against SA in home, T20 away series in England and Asia cup T20s before the mega event.

So if SKY is not fit for these games, no point playing him straight into WT20

DK > SKY anyway...so it may well be a blessing in disguise? :dontknow:

Different roles. SKY is more of a number 3 or 4, while DK (if picked) would be doing the role of a finisher at 5 or 6.

Only regular who looked way better than the regulars but was average himself in the larger context is injured :wall:

Now have to see if he regains the old

form. Never saw SKY as a long term

option but was in the prime of his life. Hope he still has the touch when he comes back.

Are you sure the Asia Cup is a T20 event?

DK can only do one role, SKY can do any role

Sky can’t finish like DK. I do agree though longer innings SKY is better even though overall class DK is better but his unfulfilled potential has been discussed on ICF for years.

DK is like poor man's Klusenar, SKY is like poor man's ABD. Now pick who you want.

I want klusener and ABDV not some poor man's versions of them. imagine an indian ODI team with ABDV at 5 and Zulu at 6.

We are a joke batting side tbh. Even in 2000 era our batsmen were so vastly overrated. We need had power hitting technical players. On the rare ocassion we did we ended up winning the WC.

LoI is based on absolute pattas with some pitches having bounce.

If you don't have power hitting technical players how are you going to win?

The 2000 -2007 era picks kept blaming the bowlers who actually did a fine job. It was the piss poor batsmen who cost us many times except 2003 wc final..

Fast bowler Akash Madhwal from Uttarakhand replaces SKY. Akash seems to be a genuine quick.

He is drafted for Mumbai.

He looks quick but height kitna hai? Looks a little bit shorter than 6 ish?

batting was fine enough for tests, but the issue was that the unit did not click together, mostly because of a number of mentally fragile players. In ODIs, there were some good fast-scoring (young MSD; Yuvi; Raina) batters from mid-00s but there were still some oldies around

Klusener used to do amazing things man... he used to finish games with targets like current T20 finishing overs
