This is what happens when an Indian organization gains too much power, it's good that we are pedestrian level in all other sports. We are not interested in this pyjama stuff man!, this takes up months off the international calendar. Shameful stuff, hope we always remain a minnow in every other sport. Gollum Posted June 14 Share Posted June 14 Wonderful news, should be extended in coming years, say 4 months dedicated window. 10-12 tests per year, 15 odd bilateral ODIs, 10 odd T20Is, plus ICC event, Asia Cup etc. More than enough, also look at test cricket as a separate sport, hardly 1-2 spots for all-format players. raki05 1 Link to comment

Tests are the real benchmark and we have been excellent there even after continuously playing away games. It is good if we are valuing test cricket, odi cricket and flexing our arms through IPL, wo v jaruri hai. International cricket should flourish through Tests, ODIs and IPL. T20s gaya bhaad me.. Subsume the PSL window. Kiska star power zyaada hai, Babar/Shaheen or Rayudu/Unadkat? mid-Jan se lekar April end tak only IPL (increase to 12/14 sides), rest of the world better fall in line or lose some share of bheek from the ICC pool May rest+recovery, both for Indian players and fans suffering from viewership fatigue or whatever * they call it. Let other countries do whatever the * they want. June -July...alternate between tours to Eng/Ire/WI/Lanka, maybe slip in a short white ball series in our Himalayan and high altitude venues. Locally start the Ranji season. Aug to mid-Jan our home season plus other assignments. ICC events, Asia Cup etc. automatically shifted to second half of the year.
