When you can't compete with other international teams, the best way is to play amongst yourselves. 

 

Ipl mai jeetegi to Indian side hi, that gives us a false sense of superiority.

IPL could over take World Cup where interest could only be at its peak in the semi final & final … Pressure would be on ICC to make T20WC more interesting if held relatively more frequently (many teams are minnows or can simply struggle)

Wonderful news, should be extended in coming years, say 4 months dedicated window. 10-12 tests per year, 15 odd bilateral ODIs, 10 odd T20Is, plus ICC event, Asia Cup etc. More than enough, also look at test cricket as a separate sport, hardly 1-2 spots for all-format players.

It's just natural selection. The fitter species survive. IPL makes a lot more money than ICC ever could. It's money that feeds a cricketer's family not your rants.

IPL is a shady tournament. Always has been since the start. Sad news. Instead try to make International cricket interesting. Bring back triangular series.

Nobody values t20 international cricket. It is a joke. Tests are the real benchmark and we have been excellent there even after continuously playing away games.

 

It is good if we are valuing test cricket, odi cricket and flexing our arms through IPL, wo v jaruri hai. International cricket should flourish through Tests, ODIs and IPL. T20s gaya bhaad me..

Waise bhi Ramiz Bhaja wanted a direct PSL vs IPL faceoff, wanted to make players choose between the 2 leagues. Let us give padosis their dil ki tamanna. Subsume the PSL window. Kiska star power zyaada hai, Babar/Shaheen or Rayudu/Unadkat?

 

mid-Jan se lekar April end tak only IPL (increase to 12/14 sides), rest of the world better fall in line or lose some share of bheek from the ICC pool

 

May rest+recovery, both for Indian players and fans suffering from viewership fatigue or whatever * they call it. Let other countries do whatever the * they want. 

 

June -July...alternate between tours to Eng/Ire/WI/Lanka, maybe slip in a short white ball series in our Himalayan and high altitude venues. Locally start the Ranji season. 

 

Aug to mid-Jan our home season plus other assignments. ICC events, Asia Cup etc. automatically shifted to second half of the year. Remaining Ranji season and rest of domestic tournaments.

ICC is onboard with a longer IPL (more revenue sharing opportunity as well) … I won’t be surprised to see a 3-month window 

 

As for teams, we may not see more than 12, with next two teams coming from Central & Eastern India as other regions already have 3 teams:

 

North: DC, LSG, & PK

East/Center: KKR + 2 new teams

South: CSK, RCB, & SRH

West: GT, MI, & RR

Babar-Rizwan will be praying for this to happen. Then they will play against Z sides in remaining white ball internationals instead of E/F.
