Anti-Selector Squad - Put your selectors hat and pick World Cup squad for India if you are very unhappy with selected Squad

Since i see so many unhappy and cribbing about our squad 

 

Rules -

 

• Only if you are unhappy with 4 or more players
• U need to give a sound logic for the player ur replacing and the logic behind his replacement selection 
• U cant change it after selecting ur squad 
• You cant select unfit players - prasidh , mohsin (if you can prove mohsin is fit , please select him )and bumrah . 

 

This will be locked before India's 1st warmup game , no more teams accepted after that. Fir to hindsight men koi bhi selection hogi

Aaj ka hi example le lo...........aaj se pehle sabke liye bishnoi pakka tha aaj 70% junta doubt men aa gayi hai 

 

Agar iyer ne aaj 80-100 maar diye he ll be in 80% of ppl squad

Picking a squad now is not the only role of the selectors. 

 

Having a clear vision of the needed players  and their backups for the Workd Cup, and trying them out in the last 12 months, is the full exercise. 

 

Even if someone is not happy with players X, Y and Z,  unless the probable replacements have been tried out in recent T20Is, it is difficult to pick them.

You're going to get more than a handful rants about phaast bowling saviors waiting in the wings - Mohsin!!  Umraan!!  As if these guys are any sort of reliable international class bowlers.  

 

Its a revolving door - these moaners always tout the guy who's not playing as the no-brainer better option.  Chahal in the XI? Bishnoi is better. Bishnoi bowling noballs and getting spanked? why isn't Kuldeep playing?  Kuldeep in the XI bleeding boundaries? This chubber bowls too slow why aren't they picking Chahar.  And so on.

It's not a bad thing actually when it comes to sports. It means that they are really involved and passionate about it. 

 

The day the common man stops doing this, we will know that cricket is dead in India.

Its all relative.

 

And balance, context are relavant.  Otherwise all kinds of extreme nonsense - effigy burning etc can be justified this way in the name of "caring".

This is exactly right, I like a lot of people will say Umran but what is the point now he should have been given a long run of matches right from after the IPL , and in theory his pace and bounce will be a weapon in Aus. Of course he is raw, the whole point of a blooding process before the world cup is so that he is "un raw-ed" and irons out the flaws. We will never know if he is international class or not unless he is given an extended run.

I have backed n fought with everyone over guys like KL, Pandya and much recently kohli in bad form ................i have thick skin 

Also that is why this post...............i want them to take a name and put their money

 

Right now everyone is moaning over XYZ selection yet cant come up with names 

Siraj ka naam lo - IPL ke post nikal dunga where he was called one of the worst bowlers by 90%

Umran ka naam lo -purane post nikal dunga where everyone called him raw after few bad games 

 

Hindsight men sab aa jayenge nahin tha wo nahin tha........................erre even if X failed how can Y be better then him when he wasnt good enough in 1st place to get selected

yup seen last wc

Rahul chahar is better choice - then he failed everyone was like isse acha chahal tha

now bishnoi is flavour of the season till he has few bad games

I don't think people whore genuine fans do tell few things out of context.

Yes, I agree there is a bit of uncertainty around the new choices. But even with the so called experienced players as well we aren't winning any multi nation tournaments either.

 

One can't move ahead unless they change/upgrade themselves. Many of genuine fans who care about the Indian Cricket team are giving opinions around that only.

I am not supporting violent acts.

 

But innocuous knee jerk reactions and comments, while watching matches, is good. 

 

A friend's' father used to watch test matches regularly.  An Indian batter missed a ball and he said, " throw him out ". The next ball was hit for a 4 and he said, " he is better than Bradman ".   And he kept on watching every ball like this. 

 

Not bad actually

Well he did get picked for the squad, even got a couple of games.  Maybe, is it possible that the team mgmt who got to see him up close in nets etc feel that he's not up to the mark? And in their judgement he's not magically going to improve simply by playing more games?

great so thats how u go about it - u have one guy in ur mind and ur logic is his style suits the format .

IF you are unhappy with 5 players or more u can put together a squad - 1-2 selections will always be debatable

TM also felt Avesh was best choice than why dropped him. TM see no issue with bowling and hope you are ok. No one asked Umran, Kuldip, Moshin , Khaleel to add in wc squad rather to get fair opportunity like Avesh who all performed better than Avesh in ipl . You can't just play useless Bhuvi and Harshal match after match in useless biletral and then complain if people have different view.

Yes, a player will only improve by playing more games especially someone with a talent like Umran. Even by bowling in the nets and if they still think he won't then throw your bowling coach out and bring someone else who can make it happen. It's the job of bowling coach to make sure a youngster like him improves. The Great Mhambrey is our coach. The richest cricket board in the world.

Giving more games/experience , assuming the players learns from mistakes , should see him improve ...  Not magic.

And yes could be they decided he isnt good enough, and if they did then they'd be doing their jobs....equally maybe they just want to play it safe stick to tried and trusted, the way they have persisted with over the hill players in the past for too long... either way we'd just be speculating
