Goes missing against any sort of decent attack

Puts pressure on Rohit

Chicken **** body language perks up the opposition

RGS isn't any better, in fact he's worse if you combine his ODI stats in important KO games! We need an auto clutch player at the top, like SRT, if we are to win any major tournament. Kohli works in T20, we have no one in ODI's right now :cantstop:

Flat track/minnow bully at best.

Goes limp at the sign of any pressure. Way got out today was symptomatic of a loser mentality.

Polar opposite of Dhoni who could take it deep and climax in the end.

Needs to go as had such a massive rope and done F all.

He might as well throw the kitchen sink and get out. Prithvi shaw with a bit of fine tuning can totally replace him.

Now watchout him bullying Netherlands and Zimbabwe. Can anyone present some stats of him in wc matches except minnows??

The whole persona of his screams "Loser"..Getting out is different thing but the mode of dismissal are almost same which annoys the * out of me...

Performed in England.

Performed in New Zealand.

Has scored against some of the best bowlers at both international and IPL.

In IPL, one can say he statpads. But in internationals, he has always been a quick starter before hitting a lean patch. Even Rohit, who always fails against Pakistan, doesn't get severe criticism like him.

Mental midget, maybe? But there aren't many who claims they are better equipped for Perth like grounds. Pakistan is his bogey team.

no one questions his ability. However his body language gives away his mental fortitude.

Should have had a Kohli like career with that ability.

I know, but people have been overly critical of him. He did perform in 19 World Cup, apart from that NZ match. Asia Cup was one time he actually disappointed. It is too much really? Is he old enough to give up on?

eh? last WT20?

Yes others have been failing too but his presence itself doesn't give any confidence.

Maybe can move to middle order like in ODIs. Worked for him there

He looked the same against New zealand in WC2019. If there is pressure he wilts.

Rahul is a nervy starter. That's his problem.

In 2019 World Cup, he was okayish with runs vs Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and a slow knock vs Pakistan. But against SENA teams, he failed there.

But then he has failed overall. He should bat in middle order where the ball doesn't swing and maybe that will allow him to bat more freely and play his shots.

Average of 26 and SR of 82 with one hundred which came va Sri Lanka in 2019 World Cup.

Sky failed today, David Warner and Finch failed too, so did Rizwan and Babar. It is tough to play upfront. Ask Pandya to open even in IPL to see how he fares. Openers play slow, you call them stat padders. If they take risk and get out, you call them mentally weak. It’s 2 sides of the same coin. I don’t buy this argument of one player causing other player’s dismissal. They have to be mentally competent to deal the situation. This is fan speak like Dravid causing Sachin to get out.
