For me it’s Ian Chappell. Doesn’t suck up to anyone, says it like it is and fun to listen to and very articulate in his own Aussie way.

Ok just now saw Harsha's review of WT20 and I m surprised hows he saying all the right things

I had huge respect for Shane Warne, his game awareness and intuitions were downright spooky at times. 

Geoff Boycott was candid and would call spade a spade. 

From India, Dilip Vengsarkars's cricket columns were a good read. 

 

I also like Ian Bishop, Brett Lee, from a fast bowling perspective.

He pretty much did the same what we have been talking for a while. But he missed one of the most important aspect which is wrist spin. He didn't talk anything about Axar or Ashwin.  That deserves to be called out

Holding is good but his bitterness towards India is a little too much. He has a clear grudge. Ian Chappell probably hates IPL too but he is not bitter. He speaks that way about everything that irritates him which is most things non-Australian :)

 good one. Yes Benaud is the voice of cricket for me. I believe for anyone born  before 1990 that would be the case.

my choices are such that I pay particular attention to the commentators I listed. in most other cases, my mind tends to drift with exceptions like benaud, chappati, bishop, etc

For me he was the most annoying , even more than Athar Ali Khan . He just spoke too much , but not much quality.
