His terrible performance with the bat alone doesn't validate him to walk into the xi ,
He like his predecessor is playing his pals, despite starting his career in late 2000s ,endorses good old formula of cricket
Rinse repeat is what he too is quite good at,

We went in a similar phase in 2012 end when Sachin, Gambhir & Sehwag became passengers. Dhoni chucked them out after one series.

We lack that kind of leader now. So expect this shithousery till WC2023.

I get the same vibe and arrogance from Pant and Gill as well

This is what these pampered superstars are passing onto the next gen

Dhoni didn't chuck them out, he persisted with them till he scored a match losing 99 at Nagpur to save his ass & then backstabbed Sehwag/Gambhir in 2013 vs Oz. SRT of course retired himself, or was quietly nudged off by the bigwigs at BCCI.

I have, the last two were equally bad albeit in different arena - MS in tests & Brat in LO games!

MS was good in home Tests and Virat still better than this.

MS was good till the team was in form, besides we have the best record at home any way over the past 3 decades - better than Oz, as far as tests are concerned. So he did nothing extraordinary as far as I'm concerned, Kohli's definitely made it a fortress though.

He didnt do extraordinary but didnt do badly either. Gave us guys like Ashwin/Pujara/Jaddu etc.Kohli reaped the rewards as far as home performances go though he started fast bowling culture which helped us in SENA.

Rohit is yet to do anything even in Tests. I'm not too confident of clean sweep in BGT

Pardon my ignorance.  but can someone plz tag bcci here or on twitter for removing this fatso from captaincy.

As a 'Frustrated' Fan, I m okay with 'losing', if the loss comes under someone more deserving as captain.  Not this Brainless Fatso whose only mission is to continue gaining more weight.

RGS should ideally have been made captain post 2019, for me Kohli should've been sacked from at least one of the formats back then itself. He was inform & doing good things in LO cricket, but the *ers at BCCI simply do not learn :whack2:

You have to make full use of someone's good form, but more importantly if that person is not in form do not make him/her captain - that's sure shot recipe of failure! And that's what happened here, unless he drastically improves his form we'll lose everything in the next 2 years :hmpf:

Gautam Gambhir wasn't performing badly when he was dropped in ODIs.. Dhoni himself was the biggest passanger at that time in tests untill he performed in home tests (99 against England and 200 against Australia)

Dhoni just removed everyone who could replace him permanently to basically take full control of the team across formats, with the help of his CSK Mamu of course. There was chatter in 2012 Oz series that Sehwag could replace him, probably by Amarnath, but that never materialized due to you know who!
