Have you see TA Sekhar bowl ?

If yes, then how was he as a pacer ?

He was probably the first genuine quick to represent independent India. Before him, Pandurang Salgaokar never got to play for India.

Pandurang was probably one of the quickest going around, he was wiry and quick, injured gavaskar once.

Nathu Singh would have been a great addition to India's bowling stocks in 2015/2016, he was in great form in domestic cricket and should have been picked.

Some great deliveries here with the pink ball.

Nathu Singh was a great talent.

A big miss for us that he faded away.

Nathu was a wonderful talent. Don't know what happened to this guy. What was the nature of his injury that he hasn't made a comeback yet? Easily was one of the most promising young fast bowlers in recent past. Bcci should have looked after him when he got injured. One more talent wasted.

Please post videos of any memorable spells or deliveries by Indian quicks either playing / played for India or playing the IPL, so that we can have them in one place and watch them whenever we want.

P.S --  We have a separate thread for Young Upcoming Pacers by @rkt.india and this is only for memorable spells and balls by established Indian quicks, past or present and not for the budding younguns.  (  No trundlers allowed  )

I wish someone had Srinath vs Zim in 96 or thereabouts. no reliable speed guns, but I am confident he was cranking it to 145-150 in many balls, and even a few over 150

It's a defense mechanism to hide the inadequacies that they know they have.

Yes. Lot of selectors are/were from trundler era. They also get jealous at the thought of seeing an exciting and fast bowling attack may overshadow their careers. It's such a shame.

That explains why shorty don't want him. Afraid to play him in the nets. Protect themselves first. They would have to face phoren pacers only in sena as they won't be effective in Asian pitches. Why risk it vs Indian quicks.

It was WA during Gavaskar's time instead of SENA.

SA was banned.  NZ had trundlers barring Hadlee. England did not have much pace either except Willis.

Amazing video!!! Idiot dhoni ruined Aaron Yadav pair, physically and fitness wise we have none matching them. Umesh is a beast guy hardly get injured still at this age deliver test match speed of 140,amazing fielder and good lower down the order batter. I still remember how him and Aaron haunted oppositions in pair to the limited games they played together against sl, wi and NZ  before Dhoni dumped them and brought Bhuvi, Praveen and 24th floor Ishan for limited over and test setup. Wish Kohli , Shastri would have  captained and coached them.

This guy Umesh is pacy. Whether he is releasing the ball at 145 or 135. Batsmen are not having any time to bring down the bat.   Same with Bumrah.

That's because the man is strong. He's built like a bull. No wonder he can strike the ball for sixes. I call him the Indian bull.

Aaron was wasted, he needed more consistent backing. He ended stu broad the batsman.

I remember during 4th test in England last year, the ball from Umesh Yadav hit Overton's right arm near the elbow and it ricocheted onto the off stump.

Poor guy was in so much pain as he walked off holding his hand.

That was lovely. Overton said something to one of the Indian players while batting? Think Rahul. Revenge for Rahul lol. Umesh big brother for the rescue.
