QuarantineTormentino
Is this just a case of him beating weaker teams or is he starting to slowly get his form back? From recent LOIs he seems to have added a few attacking shots to his armory tweaker 1 Link to comment

singhvivek141
I will wait for some more time to conclude. Srilankan bowling attack was pedestrian and while he made good use of that, he is still susceptible to edges given the amount of drives he was playing away from the body. Link to comment

R!TTER
Too soon to say, he needs to make up for his shoddy performance in the last Oz series at home and do well in WTC felina as well - if we make it there! Link to comment
Number
One thing is for sure that he is finding gaps very well now. Lets see how does against NZ as they generally choke his scoring areas quite well. Link to comment
speedracer
100% false dawn. Lol. Guys is a bottler. Last chance vs Aussies in tests, wtc final then we shall see maybe. adi B, Stan AF, putrevus and 3 others 4 2 Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Not sold on it yet. Saw some of his best shots. Gill said ball hardly turned when they played. So i am going to wait for him to put his hands up on a turning wicket. raki05 1 Link to comment
Stan AF
He's going to lay eggs as usual in the WC raki05 1 Link to comment

Lone Wolf
Not yet... Lankans kept feeding him at his strength. Either too full or short. Aussies & Kiwis won't be that generous. However his proactive game vs spin was good to watch. raki05 1 Link to comment
cricketfan28
He did deliver in t20 wc, so I have some faith. Link to comment
tweaker
The problem is the players above and below him.If Gill.and Rohit are consistent and Iyer ,Surya,Pandya, are able to score among them ,he will be good to score without pressure. The main problem.in the batting order is Project Rahul". raki05 1 Link to comment

LordPrabhzy
Not convinced at all... if he repeats the same against NZ in the ODIs and Aus in the Tests then sure he's back but lets not use minnow bashing centuries as a precurser of the GOAT second cumming. Link to comment
Vilander
Straight drives away from body cant be played when there is good laternal movment, he needs to be tested. Or may be his mind set is now relaxed as he has got a few hundreds so he can be more confident in punishing bad balls and score a few runs against good oppositions as it all will be seen in aggregate. Gollum
He couldn't get to double digits in the Bangla test series on challenging pitches, under pressure. The way he played in that 4th innings in Dhaka, do you really think these soft runs against Lanka C are going to make up for that level of ineptness? We were so close to losing to Toygers in a test match....for all his failures in test cricket since 2020 he needs to score 600 runs in BGT to justify his constant selection. Don't read too much into his recent runs. Lord, adi B, nevada and 2 others 1 4 Link to comment

Don't read too much into his recent runs. 600 runs is bit too high for BGT as it is 4 match series. Even peak smith did not do it. I think if he scores 400 runs it's pretty good series and 450-500 series means he is back to his best in all formats and probably goes past root in tests. Link to comment
