Am I the only one reluctant to watch India when KL is in the playing XI ? Averages less than 35 in 45 tests. Is he Brijesh Patel’s karnataka quota guy ?

Recommended Posts

I big F U to the selectors and BCCI for selecting this guaranteed failure meek coward  KL Rahul again and again and again.

Is this Brijesh Patel’s karnataka lobby at work ? After all he is the current chair of IPL.

This loser KL Rahul is barely good enough to play for Bangladesh.

45 test matches - Avg under 35.

Compare the treatment meted out to Kuldeep vs. this loser.

Hope never ever to see this loser play for India after this series.

He is the VC :hysterical:. Even Shaw would have been better choice than this looser in India. He ll shake his head while take a long walk back to pavallion.

We all would have Sundar or Axar as a batsman ahead of KL.

I would rather even have Kuldeep as a batsman. He at least can be a match winner with the ball.

Making this piece of dung as the VC is basically a ploy  to give him a longer rope after already giving this bc 45 test matches.

A VC is supposed to be a captain understudy or prospective captain. A captain is supposed to be fearless, lead by example, motivating and have a sound cricketing brain. Which of these attributes does this BC KL have ?

His days are being numbered anyway. With rise of Gill, I doubt KLR is in line to become next captain.  To answer the OP, no you are not the only one. Almost every Indian fans want this guy to get booted out of every single format. Pathetic freeloader, his Ranji team mate Mayank Agrwal is better than him and deserved longer run than him, there are atleast 10+ batsmen who are better than him toiling hard in Ranji trophy while this useless guy gets to play every format.

What has gone wrong for him? He was probably the worlds best upcoming batsman in 2017 straight after the aus series, failures in test cricket there after was probably down to him playing to much t20 cricket at home and some flat track instincts had come into his batting, if not for that 2018 oval hundred he would have been dropped all together, still don't know how he made it back in the team, I remember him failing in wi in 2019, shaw and Mayank opened in NZ before COVID, both failed thou Shaw hit a crispy 50 in the second test, Shaw later got banned, Mayank lost his place, Rohit scored runs at home, buts it's funny how Vijay, Agarwal, gill all were in and out but somehow Rahul got his place back, Rohit another who has never been fit and missed out on so mo many test series specially overseas.

KL averages a mere 26 since 2018 over 24 test matches as a specialist batsman. This is a staggering level of fraud by the selectors.

If you have the TMs favor - probably because they see you as a prodigy worth backing - the rope you will get will be an extremely long one. Rohit was similar for much of his career.

Rahul was no prodigy, 47-48 FC averaging batsman, failed at the u19 level, I guess he made it big commercially with ads and endorsements, him and virat are managed by the same company, it's odd because even during his marriage the amount of press and media hype was insane, you would think this is some superstar, he has what 10 international centuries in close to 9 years in international cricket.

For a long time argument was that he is not able to establish himself because he is not getting a long enough rope in the team in 1 position. And first class record is one thing but when he made his debut in 2014 in Australia he was quite highly regarded and his talent was quite evident. Until the 2021 summer he was not guaranteed a place in any format in the Indian side then the England and Saf tours happened after which he never looked back. Now he has earned defacto senior status ergo unless he fails badly he is untouchable. Within 24 months that is some turnaround in fortunes.

Achieved Senior status by averaging about 25/26 in test cricket since 2018 ?

what a pathetic joke Indian cricket is

But Kohli was jealous of his talent when he was the captain according to many geniuses who want him out now.

We can say whatever we want about anyone we want to justify anything we want when we are totally clueless about how these decisions are made. That's how conspiracy theories are made.

Having said that, regardless of the reason they are persisting with him, it is detrimental to the team, and to youngsters who are trying to break in. Just like it was detrimental to the team to persist with Kohli when he was (is?) going through an extended rough patch.

This.

It's not about conspiracies or jealousies or whatever.  Initial promise.  Elegance at the crease.  Every shot in the book.  So much time to play those shots.  All this builds a reputation that is hard to shake.
