There was a point when he was evolving well. Everyone thought it would be a matter of time before taking his game to next level. It never happened. His peak these days is scoring a 100 then a series of low scores.

He has assumed lot of wrong facts. His two 100s he is waxing poetic were no masterclasses in anything.There is nothing ailing Rahul. This is the real Rahul who has no upside .

 

Rahul never had any consistency , the only consistent series he had was that 2017 Aussies series.When in form he has been one innings wonder and when not in form he stinks for years..

 

You can understand an youngster being inconsistent but this guy is not an youngster anymore.

I still remember Draavid sir backing of Kela after series of failures in Asia Cup and T20 biletrals just before t20 wc. Draavid sir said "he absolutely have full backing of TM and he knows what is expected from him". Soon after that kela delivered masterful performance in T20 wc. Let's wait for him to deliver masterful performance in this BG trophy hopefully we can get rid of him.
