Fraudeja very likely to start Asia Cup.

Since Zimbabwe series 2013, Fraudeja averages 43 with the ball and that's including minnows etc.

He has batted only in 69 out of 102 innings and remained not out in 28 which shows his fraudulent average of 33 on the period.

He actually scores 20 runs every batting innings at a strike rate of 88 (including minnows)

This fraud is neither a bowler nor a finishing batter and just serves to ruin the balance but keeps getting selected in every ICC tournament.

Don't even think of any white ball success while this guy is leeching away to glory.

Very interesting post man.... and a lot of hard work to gather this data.

The only thing that might help him (and India) is the fact the WC is on Indian pitches. However the ball is the Kookaburra and the success one sees in test matches with SG will not happen.

India failed to try the right players. They should have tried Rinku singh. Even Tilak seems to be an option. Instead they backed SKY blindly.  Current line up has no bastmen who deserves to play at 4, 5, 6.  Pandya is more a no.7, So is Jaddu.  Axar is more a no.8. Samson can't even switch between ODI and T20.Genuines innings builders should have been tried in the middle. Kedar Jadav, Rayudu look like million bucks compared t o what we have now. This is the reason why Iyer and KL Rahul can take t heir own time come back straight into the side. India lacks players with ODI temperament.  29 year old Patidar gave some hope. But his achilles injury set him back. Most of the domestic talents are openers. Ruturaj, Jaiswal, Sai Sudarshan.   Samson messed up the golden opportunity.

pandu and jaddu are not no. 7. neither can score at high SR unlike, say, maxwell, butler, etc.

we need to unearth proper hitters for no. 7 and no. 8

Based on the posts by multiple posters above, it is fair to conclude that we are a mediocre cricket nation and we are not good enough. We will be doomed in upcoming World Cup as well.

Yaar tum log buhat pessimistic ho. I am optimistic to the point of being delusional.

Patience ran out after 2019 WC which we should have ideally won with most of the side in their prime bar Dhongi...

Last 2 ICC events have completely exposed lack of planning from selectors & BCCI.

They knew they lacked a left handed opener & a proper finisher but still went with same old pathetic Strategy.  Boobi Koomar leading pace attack in Australia was comedy in itself.

So being confident has no point.

Team can obviously turn up this time & make good selections but chances are not that high.

I would say this is more like 2007. unsettled team, baffling selections, aging seniors, trundler fetish, etc

It's not about optimism or pessimism. It's about being real and accept the reality.

India needs a transition, and the more we delay the more its going to hurt. It will cause a temporary blip but will help us rise for longer period of time.

Playing the same TTF's again and again is not going to help now, nor It's gonna help the future.

It seems the goal is to to try and turn the clock back to 2015 and achieve this by fielding as many players as possible from that lineup and squad. Lol. Dhoni will also be asked to come back in that case.
