Samson is the key, bat at 4, keep well. If he has a good world cup then we might just make it into semi.

India desperately need KL back as WK in middle order.
Ishan or Samson doesn't inspire any confidence in playing XI.

Also, I would want Tilak in place of Iyer ( since Iyer is unlikely to be fit).
A left hander in middle which can also bowl. This will also get rid of fake allrounders like Axar and Shardul.

This squad looks good but only change would be keeping inconsistent keeper batters like kishan/Samson than perennial choker kela. Also i will keep Jaiswal in the mix being a lefthander he can take care of lefty bowlers at the start which are India’s nemesis.

Samson is fine in ODIs. Rahul as part time wk can't be risked in a big tournament like WC. Samson may not be the best of wk but is still a regular wk.

If BCCI doesn't go with Iyer..then instead of Rahul I would say to stick with SKY/Tilak instead.

Yes, SKY has failed to click so far in ODI's..but he is a maverick who can turn the game on his own. While combination of Jaiswal and Tilak ensures you dont need to play a Pandya mandatorily as they both can share 4-6 overs between them.

Add it with the lack of firepower in lower middle order, you would need big hitters at the top 5.

 

I would go with this Team for Asia Cup

Bowling attack looks very thin.  No 6th bowler.   Means darter Jaddu would hv to bowl 10 overs and concede min 80 runs.  Pak batsmen never had any problems against him.

I am betting on Tilak and Jaiswal to pitch in 3-5 overs collectively. Jadeja the darter is a forced entry because we don't have any other allrounders....maybe Axar but that will shook over batting even more.
