What's the need for opening ceremony now when the opening match itself is in the past ? Is this the way it organize a tournament ? Opening ceremony being organized in middle of the tournament before any match of your choice lol how ridiculous

 

Also organizing it before the Pakistan match will give Pakistanis and other the impression that they are some kind of Rockstars and most special team in India.

The closing ceremony should be during the Australia vs Afghanistan group stage game, with Performances by Dhinchak Pooja.
 

that way it can match the randomness associated with the timing of the opening ceremony.

Indian govt 365 days bash Pakiatan, don't want to play bilateral cricket against them but then make special provision only for them come multination events. 

 

Remember how CAB/Mamta Banerjee felicitated ex Pak players and took them in chariot ride prior to T20 WC game in 2016?

 

Now they are doing opening ceremony in middle of the tournamnet just bcoz we are playing Pakistan.

 

On one hand we don't want to play Pakistan due to cross border terrorism and then gives them special treatment in ICC events. BCCIs stance on cricket with Pakistan is so hypocritical.

Yes. I have mentioned that too in another post. This is an insult to other teams and unnecessary showbaazi for a WC game. I wish for death of odi cricket . Only IPL should be our focus
