These 2 should have been asked that why overhyped eng cant do a zilch outside eng flat roads and why austrailain overhyped bowling unit getting exposed in asia.

Don't think it is insulting. But Padosis are known for putting players without too much sample on the pedestal.  Nobody denies he is good. But he is not  the best in the world like padosis claim

Shaheen is a lil over hyped especially on his return to injury where he is still finding his way but dude landed him straight from the coaching seat to the commentary box. Needs to sit down.

Apart from new ball spell Shaheen is very innocuous, these days even with new ball he isn't as potent. I rate Naseem Shah higher.

Everybody rates Naseem Shah so high - not that he isn't good.  But until he puts up some match winning performances, he's in the Umesh Yadav category - short guy, pacy, bowls jaffas at times, but numbers just aren't that great.  And no, bullying teams that are afraid of pace like SL doesn't count as much.

Not little, but he was massively over hyped by Pakistani fans..with statements like "they can't play him". Even you were making fun with the same comments and were saying that he is much better than any bowler India has ever produced.

 

Now afer the pasting that he received in Asia Cup, his performance and pace both went down, and the same fans are now trying to downplay the hype and justify him.

 

While it's very clear that he is just a new ball bowler who is useless after 3 overs and has nothing else to offer..so his next 7 overs are basically freebies which batters can cash in the way they want to.

Shaheen averages low 20s in T20, ODI and Test cricket. Ranked top 10 in both ODI and Test formats. Iconic performances against top batters in the world cups. Youngest to receive the prestigious cricketer of the year award 2021 at the age of 22. Previous winners from India since 2000 are Dravid, Sachin, Kohli and Ashwin after playing cricket for nearly a decade.

Pakistan fans don’t make the ICC committee? He has also won last 2 PSL cups as a captain already. 
Disappointed to see Ravi Shastri’s desperate commentary to downplay 1 of the best players in the world. Shaheen is clearly going through a rough patch, which all players see every now and then. It’s an overreaction. 
The Shaheen nightmare will be back. It’s as certain as death and taxes.

Yes Naseem shah with an average in the teens and strike rate below 5 on the flattest pattas has bad numbers.

Ohhh bhai go check out his record across formats lol. Overhyped only when you comapare him to pakistani greats like Wasim. India ka overhyped kehna nahi banta usay.
