Confident of winning the final if we get through this match. They are a tricky opponent but not formidable and unbeatable. We should be able to beat them if we play to our potential Swag 1 Link to comment
Downtown
I would've felt a lot more at ease if we were facing Australia or South Africa! This New Zealand team is a different story. They might not boast the same level of individual skill and talent, but they make up for it with sheer determination. Their fielding is top-notch, and it's stressing me out a bit. These guys consistently perform beyond expectations. Even though India has a strong team, facing New Zealand is no walk in the park. Fingers crossed that we come out on top this time! Link to comment

Fingers crossed that we come out on top this time! better for us to face NZ instead of Aus, who are beasts in KOs. my preference would have been: (1) Afg/Pak if they qualified (easy to thrash them); (2) SA (perennial chokers); (3) NZ; and (4) Aus. nevada 1 Link to comment
mani sha
They are a good team but not without issues - they have troubled india due to the presence of quality all rounders . Chris cairns etc and now too they have two or three players who are good all rounders . They also have a decent spinner and tall fast bowlers who bowl line and length and swing the ball - v disciplined team . We can beat them at home if a spin pitch is dished out. Swing will favor them slightly . overall a v consistent team , but india should win this one as we a have captain who is chilled and smart . Link to comment

They are only tricky in conditions that favor them, our WC losses to them have come in Eng back in 99, then 2019 SF again in Eng, the WTC final on a "neutral venue" was played in a game where NZ didn't even pick a spinner - they're a *ing joke frankly Link to comment

deathmonger
I know there's 2019 PTSD but like I said before the Pak game, both play to potential - India win easy. Remember even Henry is not there. India will have to severely underperform and NZ overperform for them to win. Norman and nitinbwj 1 1 Link to comment

thecricketer
In home conditions, India has the upper hand against New Zealand, and their record in India against India is poor. Link to comment

Frustrated
Santner seems to be the biggest chucker in this WC. Has been chucking massively for ages. Much more than Ifti chacha. Surprised that his action has not yet been reported. Edited November 13, 2023 by Frustrated Downtown and Lord 1 1 Link to comment

straighttalk
So Wankheder is win toss bar first win match..the stats in cricinfo are staggering..pathetic to play semis in this stadium Link to comment
Lone Wolf
I remember Taylor Latham epic chasing a record total here in 2018... Still the highest successful run chase here in Wankhede. If Kiwis had any shot this is the venue. If we win this one... We are lifting the cup no two ways about it. Link to comment

The Hound
NZ did minnow bashing well to get their ticket of SF. Unfortunately for them there are no minnows left now. tapandrun 1 Link to comment
