Iyer is VC in 4th, 5th game vs Australia, so he can do the job there as well considering SKY is captaining.

 

Kishan is hanging by thread, but I don't see Jitesh getting any game in SA, so he is anyway a sure shot starter. Plus he has captaincy experience in 2016 U19 WC, so thats an advantage.

KLR is captain. Planning for 2027 started already. Chewtiya should be nowhere near squad after what he did in final.

How the f is Yashaswi not there in ODI squad? Also, Arshdeep, Chahar, Chahal and Sundar? Other selections are understandable but these 4?

 

What is the point when Chahal will be 37 and Chahar will be 35 by 2027.   Why not Parag over Sundar? What has Sundar done to earn a recall?  Utter madness. Arshdeep can't bowl for 10 overs with any efficacy.   

 

Messing up this 4 year cycle as well. And then they'll try to cobble together a squad 1 year before the World Cup.

 

4 spinners in an ODI squad for SA tour. India making the same mistakes. Too many spinners instead of developing quicks and insisting on bowling allrounders.

Players are not scrutinized after every game. Kishan scored a quick 50 before that. He is the most successful wk bat for India in T20s. If we start judging players after every game then even Tendulkar is a failure.

you are right. 1-2 games dont matter. Before this series, his last 50 was more than 10 games ago.

 

So yeah reverse of it applies to Kishan. 1-2 innings doesnt make him a surety

Jitesh got the game today and did really well. We should back him. We need finishers more than top 3
