What immigration policies did democrats ever passed for legal immigrants ? Democrats allowed so called dreamers to have legal right to work. Dreamers are illegals who are brought at young age and compare that to us. Do legal H1b has to permits/EAD cards ? The answer is No. But even immigration hawks like Tom cotton co sponsored immigration bills that would level playing field for Indians by making legal immigration first come first serve. My own senator who was a democrat never co sponsored the bill. We reached out to him multiple times but no. He was replaced by a Republican businessman who cosponsored the immigration bill. Biden office is good they do help you if you reach out on immigration issues but from an immigration bill perspective nothing will ever happen in USA be it democrats or republicans. Many Indians had trouble with H1b during Obama era. Obama introduced employer employee relationship which cause denial for my Indians. Trump era issued lot of queries for H1b but after replying they got extensions. Trump era did make H1b renewals a bit hard but people still got renewals. BJP has lifted millions of Indians from poverty and has many schemes for poor and they created multiple startups for make in India campaign. They have strengthened relationships with Arab world. Our consulates now help NRIs during congress rule these were run like govt office no one would respond to your queries. But now they are responsive. Recently indian retired navy personnel were sentenced to death but they are brought back home. Our MEA is best it has been in decades. They have airlifted people from Ukraine, other countries successfully during war times. Why shouldn’t NRIs support BJP after we are respected and protected ? Have a look at INDI alliance manifesto. Nothing on industrialisation, Infra or anything that can move the country forward. Just we will give this thing free to women, this much money for some castes, doles for farmers blah blah.. Complete sh!t. Most greencard holders and citizens know that Republicans, even though some of them have extreme folks like Trump in their party, are still better than Liberal mess created by fake Kamala and Fake Biden. Indians in general can’t relate to both parties evenly, however our values match more with Republicans than Democrats overall. Just look at this - Democrats are too concerned about Climate change, LGBT, Abortion rights etc. Indians are never into all that lgbt, aboriton stuff. We are into some real stuff like economy going down and are massively concerned about businesses closing down in cities, and crimes increasing in big cities which could impact your family members lives directly. Thats what concerns an averge Indian overseas as they moved overseas with the kindset for better lifestyle and don’t want to see crime being commited in front of them and then being defended by extreme lobbyists calling it “crime was commited by mental patient” We are more conservative people than one think.
