Well then extend it to parents also. They all want Engineers and Doctors.Playing sports means wasting time and ruining your life

Parents are raising their kids. They can raise them as they see fit. No one is paying parents to raise kids.

Teachers are doing a job. They are being paid. Paid workers. Period. So be professional and don't insult athletes or actually anybody - even the slow kids in class.

There is no comparison between parents and teachers.

Dunno man - I see a lot of unemployed engineers. A skilled tradesman can make more than some private college unemployed engineer.

We need foreign teachers who know how to win or have coached winners on the Olympic stage. We need to throw money at them

Our current coaches, no matter how good, only know how to reach quarterfinals, they have themselves never reached last stages so dont understand how athletes who win think. Maybe top coaches can coach further coaches too

At the top we need coaches who can teach tricks and mentality of winners, not basics.

They had that foregin coach in archery waitting to help players but Federation won't let him coach.

We had foregin mentors and coaches in Hockey since Ric Charlesworth, has it helped Hockey.

That does not work like that, Parents and teachers have to work together. You cannot be teaching kids two different things.

Why do you think are so many private Engineering colleges, if parents did not want it.

Even commies appreciated how he used angles in the first game. But then he started playing safe after a couple of errors in the 2nd set.  The other guy picked up his offensive game. From that point it was catch up game for Sen.  Not sure how mu h of opponent analysis went into place. But he was clearly playing in to the hands of Lee in the 2nd set. Coaches tried to course  correct him. But Lee gave him.absolutely nothing making him more defensive

What two different things? Teachers have to teach their subject, teach it well and grade fairly. Period. Just do your job which you are paid to do.

Rest how the child does what depends on the parents and the child. The teachers job is teaching his subject and grading - not social engineering.

Does anybody know if the Indian archers practice in windy conditions?

Maybe they need to practice in windy conditions more to not let the wind affect their scores.

I mean some were blaming the wind for the poor scores.

Accurate assessment of Sen... He didn't played to his potential today. Prakash is hurt and disappointed

its not professional to come out with all guns blazing against your own player right after he got defeated. could have talked to him in person and not go public with it. there could be blame game going on as well. we dont know.

No you are completely wrong. Parents impose their views on kids rather than letting kids develop their talents.

If a kid excels in sports and academics, both parents and teachers have to work together. If parents stop kids from playing sports how will they develop sporting culture.

Coaches or teachers don't produce kids.Parents do that and they also need to get invested in kids playing sports.

Pretty damning revelations on the archery team if true. They're a bunch of divas.

""The seniors choose the coaches, who are not actually coaches but just people who carry water and kit for them" says one archery insider. "The seniors don't want to change, they feel they have achieved World Cups through their own efforts and there is a lot of resistance in the camps."

When foreign coaches are brought in, says another, "the seniors gang up against coaches who will push them and demand more." Should the coach try and make technical corrections working with the juniors, the seniors then complain that their technique is being spoiled and their scores going down. "They make it difficult", the source said, "for either new technical coaches to come in or for new coaches to be developed." The juniors then follow the same culture, which permeates down through the camps."

They have been blaming wind since 2012, also black magic by opponents in some Games.
