Kamal Tandon is even before my time. I would go with - Ravi Shastri , esp in ODIs - Atapattu - Mahanama - Asanka Gurusinha - Chetan Chauhan -Aakash Chopra - WV Raman - S Badrinath - Allan Border , found him very ugly - Jimmy Adams - He was called Padams . Scored a century against India in 1994 using his Pads mainly. Edited July 19, 2024 by coffee_rules BacktoCricaddict, raki05, neel roy and 1 other 4

maniac Posted July 19, 2024 Posted July 19, 2024 Pujara Alistair Cook Azhar Ali Akash Chopra One slot open for the countless journeymen cricketers who bored the crap out of me over the years. Dravid was alright in the last 4-5 years of his career. So giving him a pass even though more than boring he played a lot of selfish innings. Similarly Dhoni was extremely boring to watch in his last few years but when he started he was box office. raki05 and BacktoCricaddict 2
maniac Posted July 19, 2024 Posted July 19, 2024 @velu @Laaloo Dhoni most boring batsmen before NRR Most entertaining batsman after NRR Ultimate_Game, Lord, raki05 and 1 other 4

A guy who became popular only after quitting cricket can't be considered as a batsman. AKane, Ultimate_Game, neel roy and 4 others 7

Ultimate_Game Posted July 19, 2024 Posted July 19, 2024 Most of Indian openers who opened alongside Sehwag or around that time... Deep Dasgupta SS Das Akash Copra Won't discuss Pak and B'desh batters as that would be a cheap shot given their standard and talent level. A couple of WI batsmen round the list... Jimmy Padams Shivnarine Chanderpaul Frustrated and BacktoCricaddict 2
Gollum Posted July 19, 2024 Posted July 19, 2024 Boring is quite often good in test cricket. Wish Ashwin the batsman were a bit more boring instead of wanting to feel every ball, Jadeja achieved his full potential by being boring, as did Kallis, Chandepaul, Cook etc. Vk1, BacktoCricaddict, AuxiliA and 1 other 1 3

But there's a limit. Back before you were born, there was Boycott and Tavare and others who were simply boring for the sake of being boring in an already boring era. Gollum 1
