I don’t have much hopes on Shami. The break has been way too long. Coupled with the chronic knee dues he’s had, It’s not looking good. Hopefully I’m proven wrong.

BGT has sometime , do not think mayank will be in 15, either he will go as reserve or will be on A tour.

Harshit will make get debut in NZ series either Siraj/Bhumrah will be rested 

 

At one time TM wanted Pradish and some LAF, think Khaleel/dayal/singh are in line. Mis management in selections in last 2/3 years have resulted into this.

Bhumrah,Siraj,Akash deep are certain , shami if gets fit , then its open to all, selectors can pick any1 they like as there is no front runners .

They can pick Pradish/harshit with justification that he is tall and has bounce, Mayank/Umran has extra pace. Singh/Khaleel/Dayal -laf gives variety, mukesh/avesh have exp.

This also hints that Bumrah may take the mantle from Rohit...if he retires post WTC 2025.

 

Just that being a fast bowler in his early 30's. Bumrah's availability may not be 100% in all Tests, so whoever becomes his deputy will get a chance to captain the team quite frequently.

Prasidh is now out of scope considering he is injured, wont be part of reserves for NZ tour.

Schedule tests in B'luru in Jan-March. Not Aug-Dec because it gets affected by both SW and NE monsoon.

 

2015 we couldn't clean sweep RSA because of Bengaluru rain, again October or November.

This makes recovery longer and harder. Makes no difference the age for seniors. If your good enough your good enough.
