Frustrated
One question to OP. There is a similar thread created by you on Dhoni (long ago). Is there a specific reason for putting 3 question marks on both thread titles (and not 1, 2 or 4)? Is 3 your lucky number or something? Just curious. Don't take it otherwise. nevada
Have seen enough of Rahul to figure out that he will be a mediocre batsman who consistently buckles under the slightest pressure. I can't understand why he is still treated like an early 20s youngster with massive upside despite a decade of underperformance. If selectors and TM are so besotted with him, they can select him in dead rubber games or for Zimbabwe tours when regulars rest. Master_better, maniac, Suhaan and 1 other 1 3 Link to comment
putrevus
I knew this in 2018 when he stunk in five different continents barely even reaching double figures before giving way to Mayank 2018. That should have been end of this bozo, luck and other factors have kept him on till now. Aah he scored 100 in England and SA were answers from some of his defenders forgetting he never did anything other than those scores. 34 avg after 51 tests still has not been enough for moronic selectors to discard this bozo. They still let him stink in all three formats. Manucrick, Master_better and Frustrated 3 Link to comment
Number
@coffee_rules KL is Jayadrath of Indian Cricket. There is a day in the year in SENA tour when he looks invincible. Then he is butt of all jokes for rest of the days. Edited October 21 by Number coffee_rules, velu, nevada and 5 others 8 Link to comment
singhvivek141
Welcome back @maniacbhai. Hope all is well. I believe the selectors may not consider dropping KL now. I know that while he has experience, his performance has been average at best, and he has been retained in the team primarily due to his experience. He is 32 years old and was dropped from the top order due to the emergence of Jaiswal. However, he managed to secure a place in the middle order when Pujara and Rahane were dropped. It is likely that Rohit and Kohli will retire after the World Test Championship, and KL Rahul may be moved to their positions since we have not experimented with many new batters in Test cricket. maniac 1 Link to comment

Sean Bradley
Chewtiya averages 35 after playing for almost a decade in the team, and to come to think we dropped Varun Nair after scoring a triple and just wrote him off completely. Manucrick and singhvivek141 1 1 Link to comment

tweaker
Rahul has done every thing to be get dropped. He also took blessing of the pitch as he thought this may be his last match in test side. But his planets have aligned in such a way that he will be our Test captain soon. Link to comment

Frustrated
In govt jobs, when an employee doesn't perform well in one dept, he is assigned a new dept/role. On similar lines, our TM has secretly assigned Kela a new task ie to try & become a medium pacer/trundler over a period of time. It is quite evident from his brand new hairstyle which resembles that of Henry Olonga. Lord, Master_better and Number 3 Link to comment
