This is nothing new to cricket anymore, cricket has been like this for some 4/5 years now.

Multiple back to back matches at same ground in a series, multiple back to back test matches at the same ground in a series, ICC event moved out from host cntry,

misplaced ceremonies, ICC event with poor to low level pitches which are not seen even at club level, even club level pitches are better than those, insane tkt prices,

Spreading ICC event over multiple host miles away from eachother, player, ppl involved have to do island hopping. Delay in tkt openings.

 

The cricketing events no longer looked like well thought of, they are poorly managed, very unprofessional

 

Did pcb miss the 31st dec dl-yes, will they miss 15 feb dl--yes, will they miss 25 feb yes with some finishing jobs and may be leaving some part of planned infra for future. 

All that said pcb will put together everything haphazardly and the event will go on.

 

And at this point ICC would let this event go as it even with the current situation and readiness. There is no countdown or mention of CT on ICC sites landing page, nothing on their YT channel, no event promotion nothing. Rt. now ICC wants to get done with it.

Is India any different? We saw how poorly organized the 23 WC was. Or last year's Eng test in Hyderabad where washroom facilities, seats etc. were in poor shape. 3rd world jugaad mentality, zero accountability or pride, no civic sense. Not just the admins treating the fans bad, even the fans abuse the facilities, all round cluster*.

Or the terrible outfield at Dharamshala and Wankhede .  And the the hoarding nearly fell on the spectators in Lucknow etc.

not  jugaad mentality but corruption mentality.

That is because WC was played immediately after 3-4 months of monsoon season. So venues that had newly laid pitches and outfields struggled with that. There is no such issue with PCB. It's not like we hosted an ICC tournament for the first time but timing this time made some things a bit difficult for grounds.

Tax payers money only goes to quality distribution of freebies. Road ke liya sarkaar alag se tax legi other than toll tax.

Cricinfo shows that there is tri series in pak using the same stadiums which are lined up for ct-25 ??

thought icc has something were they take over the stadium x days prior to the icc-event and local boards provide staff to carry on maintenance and set-up under icc supervision. they had issues in odi wc where icc supervisor/curator said Ind was using different pitch for the match. 

 

Also on yt saw that the custorction work is still going on and some part is pending not sure if those videos are latest but there were scaffolding.

hopefully ICC does not prepare t20i wc kind of pitches else the other group will become interesting,In ind group each team will have a match in uae which will also be used pitches as ILt20 is still going on.
