Zimbabar and Maulana Rizwan dropped from Asia Cup squad

Every team is moving away from anchor/ accumulator kind of batters.

In last 3 years only 4 times a sub 161 target has been defended (could be wrng but that what it fetched on quick search ). So there is no diff. if a team gets AO for 60 or 155, the result will be a loss. And in bilaterals where there is no nrr there is no point in having some1 to anchor and get time to some total.

The mantra is score big and be ready to chase big.

Teams now looking for batters and constructing batting side which can hit multiple 6s in an over and keep doing it even in a phase where the wkts are falling

Fvck the Asia Cup. Why the eff are we even playing against that country!

Agree 100 %  - there is no way we should be playing these pigs. One can blame BCCI / Jay Shah or whomsoever.

The reasons could be beyond what you and I know - it could be that we want to show things are back to “ normal “ and Op Sindoor 2.0 may happen then when Pak least expects.

OR it could be other reasons.

Since we can’t control whether the match takes place or not  - The least we can do is to ensure that Pak is given a drubbing and their country has one more reason to mourn.

Because India is a unserious country where no one cares.

The higher ups that matter don't care so who are we?

Good on pakistan for trying something new and not sticking to something that isn't working - just because senior and A list names (for pakistani standard). Unlike our beloved Rohit with a tubby tummy which will put a regular diabetes uncle to shame.

What even is the point of this tournament? Leave aside all the political stuff...what sense does this tournament make even in cricketing terms for India?

BCCI has enough clout to get Australia, England and one of SA/NZ to play an annual white ball quadrilateral series, that could help us much better in terms of preparation for the big tournaments. Surely that will earn them more money than this useless Asia Cup tournament that is purely surviving on the overrated "rivalry" that is india vs pakistan.
