Nikhil_cric Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 Unbelievably good at his peak. Obstinate in defence and wore out Australian attacks and brought them to their knees, did our "Che". Thank you for the beautiful memories. nevada 1
Bigg Brother Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 Massively underachieved although contributed in some of the greatest series win. Post 2020-21 BGT He was just shadow of himself. He made batting against spin bowling look extremely easy, 2012-13 England series where he toyed with Swann and Monty when everyone else was struggling. Along with 2 BGT, Let's not forget his superb knock against SL in 3rd test 2015, that was decider and tough track and he was picked in 3rd test after Rohit had replaced him in earlier tests.
AuxiliA Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 His greatest innings was 123 in Adelaide in 2018 when he single handedly rescued us from 40/4 to a decent total and again made 70odd in the 2nd inng to get us the win and setup our 1st series victory in Aus. That effort was even better than Dravid's Adelaide 2003 performance. Lord, nevada and Number 1 2
vvvslaxman Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 Adios man. Hope he serves Indian cricket in some capacity.
