jusarrived
Very impressive so far! Its not the runs but the technique. Look a cert for tests IMO. So different form Kohli who flashes at things and looks suspect. Only a small knock from badrinath but I am impressed! :hatsoff: Link to comment
Magneto
LMAO, whole of ICF going bonkers on Kohli picked over Badrinath. People abusing Kohli left, right and centre for just being 'picked'. Chakdephatte 1 Link to comment

QuarantineTormentino
Get rid of that apostrophe in the word “selectors” in the title OP. When I read the title initially I thought that the mother of one of the selectors was voicing her opinion I6MTW, Chakdephatte, rahulrulezz and 3 others 6 Link to comment

Jay
That's why people who never played cricket at a competitive level should never give their opinion about a players ability. They know who they are. Link to comment
Sooda
Easy to dig up and laugh at old posts with the benefit of hindsight- truth is, at the time, Badri was the best domestic player and Virat was just starting out so it was right that people wanted Badri to get a fair shot. No. People don't watch the games properly. Badri was weak vs short ball. Kohli wasn't. That's why people need to watch the actual A tour games or ranji. Link to comment

But Venky then saw both of them (and Badri's runs) and despite that picked Virat over Badri saying Virat is the future, and Badri is not. Real cricket pundits have an idea of the future. If that kind of performance can give only 2 tests for India while Yuvraj played 40 tests averaging 34, Raina played 18 tests averaging 26, it certainly does seem like his hard work wasn't valued. Lots of fodders has insane average in ranji. Even Jaffer. We all saw how he did in internationals Ability needs to be scrutinized more rather than base someone of domestic stats. Trichromatic
How did Raina got opportunities with team during overseas tour, whereas Badri was ignored? Clearly short ball issue, A tours performances etc are just excuses. Link to comment
