Texan
Pat Cummins playing his first Test in India and only his second FC game in a long long time picks up 4 wickets right away. I tried to look up when was the last time Ishant got 4 wickets in an innings in India. It was way back in 2008! Forever Indian and Laaloo 2 Link to comment

Vk1
If ishanth is indeed that good in guiding fellow fast bowlers then he should perhaps be the 12th man who comes in as substitute and stands at midoff midon when fast men bowl. He doesn't have the excuse a Mohammed Amir can give like catches getting dropped or like wahab who bowls 150s at times. Link to comment
Texan
Last time Ishant Sharma got 3 or more wickets in an innings in India: Mar 2013 (4 years ago) - 3/72 vs Aus Last time Ishant Sharma got 4 or more wickets in a match in India: Nov 2010 (6 1/2 years ago) - 7 wickets vs NZ Last time Ishant Sharma got 5 or more wickets in an innings in India: Dec 2007 (9 1/2 years ago) - first time he bowled in India - 5/118 vs Pak Since 2015, Sharma has bowled in 14 innings in India and taken 9 wickets. At this rate, India will need 15 bowlers in the playing 11 to get 20 wickets. Laaloo, goose, wanted_desi and 1 other 4 Link to comment
goose
If I was the opposition i would just play sensibly even block when Ishant is bowling. Get that economy rate down and assure his place in the Indian side. Have you noticed all the Aussie commies complimenting his efforts? Link to comment
vivek04
77 tests are too much for a bowler like ishant, who is not a wicket taker or match winner. He don't know what is he doing with his bowling containing or wicket taking. If he was attacked by any batsmen he dont have any proper skills to overcome them. Unlucky is not the word for him may be way overrated. Link to comment
Vk1
bhuvi on Indian pitches could be an equally bad choice unless he gets back the banana swing he displayed in his debut odi match vs Pak. Going by the pacers list Aaron or some other raw pacers should join umesh until shami is fit. Link to comment

Lannister
Its rather funny how we keep on persisting with this guy. Any other bowler with his experience, would've become a strike bowler by now and here we are making a case for him to be a support bowler and then we wonder why we are not winning Test in Aus and SA. Have you seen his record in India in recent years? It's dreadful. Link to comment
