I get your point about the psychological blow from the first ODI but I still think if Eng can restrict us to below 300, then they are in with a good chance if there is dew as our spinners would then be ineffective. 3 hours ago, Ankit_sharma03 said: While chasing dew comes in play I doubt that in cuttack (correct me if m wrong) Edens would have dew. But its a mental game and such defeats can actually make a team believe - after scoring 350 and taking oppp 4 wkts at 60 if we still cant win then how do we win. Also their captain is not in form and is under clouds of self doubts. With this batting lineup England will score more than 310 every match. It would not be easy to set a target for them.

After giving up on short one, They bowled 3 ball on his pads so that he would try a flick for 4 down the leg. He fell for it. One went for four and then went to gloves. They had leg slip too

But That faint tickle looked more like new weakness. May be English figured out something during the game after seeing his approach to short balls.

BeautifulGame Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 yup his searing yorkers at 125kph... If you can execute the Yorker accurately, even at 125kph,it's lethal. One of the best ODI death bowlers in recent memory,Bracken only bowled around 125kph.

For me he plays Ct2017 if he is fit so his place is soughted as we havent tried youngsters I dnt knw what up with bhuvi bowling when it comes to Odi, he was really bad in last 2 yrs But now his rhythem and confidence is back so want to his game is he a better or worst option than umesh. For that u need to try him.He also needs some games in Odi No i never judge player by one Odi........I wrote the same before the series that i wud like to try bhuvi for this series. King Tendulkar Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Well a lot of heads wanted chopped by ICF after one game. No room for one bad game here or out. We not interested in last series or last year. Just about one game lol So these are the demands Ashwin worlds best all rounder axed Jadeja axed for one shot Yuvraj axed for tickle down leg Dhoni out for horror slog (although focus seems more on Jadejas shot) Umesh out cos fast Dhawan out Raul out as too bling So it seems only Kohli, Jhadav, Pandya and Bumrah (his horror death effort gone under radar, someone start a thread he was awful) 7 new players needed by ICF Mosher, tweaker, express bowling and 1 other 4
bowl_out Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Virat has a history of making at least one change to his test side every match.. Would be tough to do it in ODIs Ashwin looked hapless.. I've never been a big fan of him in ODIs.. Maybe get Mishraji in place of him.. No other change tweaker 1

ShebbySB Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 (edited) Our ODI side will look like this after oldies fade away:- Rohit Rahul Kohli(C) Nair Kedar Pant(Wk) Pandya Jadeja Kuldeep Shami Bumrah Reserves:- Mayank,Pandey,Akshar,BK. Some exciting new fast bowling talents should also be drafted in. I'd like to rest Ashwin as much as I can for tests.Dhawan,Yuvraj,Dhoni have been fantastic but new players should come in gradually. Kuldeep can still be part of Indian team and given chances and be tried along side Mishra in future but Mishra in LOi's is a brilliant bowler who is a must. People are mixing test and ODI's big time.

Great side, I love it. My only debate would be do we strengthen batting or bowling? I would have Pandey in the team. It would almost say to the opposition that ANY target we can chase down. If Kedar's spin improves to an extent where 4 bowlers are all required plus him, I would have Pandey in the team. ShebbySB 1
sandeep Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 Its interesting how Rohit Sharma is not counted in the "oldies" bucket. How old is Fat hitman anyway? Let's see how he comes back after his quad injury. He's been all-world the last couple of years, but that doesn't mean he automatically maintains that level going forward as well...

I think he will take 10 ODIs before he will "settle in" - but Kohli loves him and will give him 10 ODIs at the expense of Team India.
