SecondSlip
It seems like almost everyone here in ICF is unhappy with the current selections. Nobody seems to rate Pandey, Rayudu, Dhoni, Jadhav, Iyer etc. If you were head selector, which middle order batsmen would you select for the Indian ODI team? Who do you want to see playing for the nation? Link to comment

And 4 bowlers 5, 6 and 7, not only provide WK and 5th-6th bowling options, but are power hitters with the ability to play under pressure Adi BB and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1 Link to comment

02/04/11
Dhoni taking up the WK spot in the middle order is killing us. 4. Rahul 5. Pant (WK) 6. (Open slot) 7. Hardik That looks so much better. Could even have pant at 6 and the open slot at 5. express bowling, diehardpacer, UrmiSinhaRay and 1 other 3 1 Link to comment
SecondSlip
@wanted_desi @bowl_out @SUMO KL Rahul is not a middle order batsman, he bats in the top order. The lowest he can bat is #3! Link to comment
Sooda
Shikar, Rohit, KL, Virat, Dinesh, Hardik, Krunal, Bhuv, Kuldeep, Yuz, Jasprit KL at 3 and VK at 4 would be my first choice. My 2nd choice is VK at 3 and Manish at 4 - i still think Manish can come good if invested in; he hasnt grabbed the oppos that have come his way but has been shuffled around a bit too. 3rd choice is Iyer at 4 5 minutes ago, SecondSlip said: @wanted_desi @bowl_out @SUMO KL Rahul is not a middle order batsman, he bats in the top order. The lowest he can bat is #3! Agree with that, maybe he can adapt to no 4 but for that he needed to have been given a long enough run of chances. The problem is none of the options - KL, Manish, Dinesh, Iyer - have been given a long consistent run. I think Rahane should not even be on consideration (but im sure he will be) The Dark Horse and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1 Link to comment
The Realist
Pointless exercise as with the current braindead selectors more likely to see recalls for Vijay, Pujara and Rahane as they are that clueless. diehardpacer, UrmiSinhaRay and RAZPOR 1 2 Link to comment

prasen82
We have 4 batsmen who can't bowl and a keeper. So rest 6 will need to bowl. So 4 bowlers and 2 all rounders. All rounders Pandya Bros,Jadhav Bowlers Bumrah, Khaleel,Kuldeep . The last spot if spinner should be krunal. Else go with bhuvi. Ideal team would be Dhawan Rohit Kohli KL Jadhav Pant Hardik Krunal Kuldeep Khaleel Bumrah Can't have more than 3 strike bowlers. Else need to drop Pandya Bros and have saini and siraj . Makes batting super weak. Laaloo and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1 Link to comment
