Would you be interested to see an annual 50-over Tri-series between India, India 'A' and India 'B' with all of India's big players playing?

Getting 2 competitive teams outside of international players might be difficult.

You don't need to. Form the two best teams you can form from outside of the international players. It's upto individual players to make it count. The series could be promoted with the same importance as an ODI or even IPL, with fringe players challenging the international team.

We want to see but the point is will it get its audience n sponsors...if not wnt happen in the best way

They're promoting IPL right now with just Indian players. Why can't the Challenger Series (or whatever they want to call it) be promoted the same way with players most of whom are household names now because of IPL? It can be a major tournament in the annual calendar IMO.

Yep, presentation matters a lot.  Call it 'all-stars' or whatever, put some promos around it, and decent coverage.  There are plenty of Indian cricket fans who would appreciate it.  They are out there.  Problem is that the ad dollars are more primed towards chasing that big fat sweet spot of 'casual' fans, who want to see 'their guys' against 'other guys'.  Especially "phoren" other guys.

If they can schedule something with so much cricket being played (may have to cut back on some international series)  ..... if it happens, it should be on zonal lines (or something to that order) as it is hard to follow randomly selected Ind A, B or whatever

Would prefer more teams, 4-6. Gets all our potential players in the limelight as well with more opportunities than 2-3 games.

That's too many. And defeats the purpose of domestics.

Three teams is ideal. Just the top 35 players makes it competitive

It's just 4 games and one of the sides plays just two, even good players may miss out. I'm fine with three teams if they play each other twice, although still think a slightly bigger pool of 4 teams sounds better.

Hugely disappointed with our batting stocks for LOI games.. we just don't seem to have any talented middle order hitters.. always giving chances to street smart gully players like Karthik, Jadhav who can barely hit a fast bowler like Turner did today..  these kind of tourneys might unearth some potential if there is any

I don't think so. People are so cricket crazy in this country that a match with the top IPL and national team stars is going to draw people, especially in cities which don't get international cricket very often.

How does one market an event like this?

Who does one root for?

A better idea would be to make it zone/region wise and split the Indian team, India A and India B by geographic regions.

Current stars vs future stars. Fringe players gunning for a spot in the national team. Not hard in terms of how to market it. Star Sports is doing it right now with IPL.

The draw will be the players. Fans will flock to the stadium to see Kohli, Dhoni, Bumrah etc. donning the India blues anyway. It's win-win for the fans no matter which team wins the game. It will showcase the quality of our bench strength and if anyone can compete with our international players. People don't take domestic, IPL or 'A' cricket performances seriously, but if they perform against our international team, they will come under the limelight and people will know they're the real deal. Imagine our international team losing to India 'A' or India 'B'. Anyone coming up with match-winning performances against our international team will be the talk of the country.
