Starc getting off stump of Stokes at Lords is equal contender. If you watch carefully there are few things that happened. Immediately after release, It looked boll will go 7th-8th stump. But because it was thrown in 90 mph range, Ball does a late swing. Stokes bat comes down at edge of popping crease by the time ball has gone well beyond Stokes bat and about to hit the off stump.

 

So Stokes was deceived in line, betaen by pace, done by late swing. He stood no chance

Think Kuldeep's delivery was better. Many bowlers can bowl good yorkers but a perfect spin which decieves the batsman with loop and turn is rare these days.

As skillful as Kuldeep's delivery to Babar was, the adrenaline rush you get to watch a searing yorker bowl a set batsman is absolutely on another level.

 

Bumrah bowled a couple of similar yorkers with the new ball for LBWs in practice matches. Hoping to see him replicate this in in real matches now

IN the context of the "Tournament" (Not just match) Starc's delivery to Stokes is ball of the tournament. It changed so many dynamics in the tournament.

I'm not sure you can bring the minnow angle here, Eng have been minnows in WC since 92 & outchoking SA since 79, heck if you stretch the fabric of time a bit further & include tests - they've been at it since 1877
