a senior BCCI official told PTI on condition of anonymity.

Poor from the BCCI official. Release gossip news which may turn disastrous on team morale. I still remember Ponting announced/forced to announce his retirement before his last test. This news made the players emotional and disturbed the focus on the game. It also added to the pressure on the rest of his teammates. Result - Aus lost the test and series 1-0 to SA. This news was not required at this moment. Hope the team stays away from the news. It needs to focus on the world cup.

You sure Kohli would be upbeat after all he persisted with washed up has been since 2017.

Yes. He never thought that he'll have to give explainations in every post match interviews of the batting exploits of Thala (while Thala himself having a good time with his deciples)...

Also the deal was upto the WC2019. They all know it and prepared for it.

Secret: Thala will retire without WC 2019 Cup the way he is batting in the middle overs :secret:

It's quite obvious don't see India winning the WC with middle ordee being full of passengers but blame goes to Vk for that for persisting with Old players.
