Yoda-esque Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Why is BD being undermined ? They are more than competitive.

They have a chance at making it happen, only because England's "brave" approach carries a high degree of risk and a meaningful probability of a self-inflicted collapse to a sub-240 score. And England's bowling is probably barely better than Bangladesh's at best, if that. Their bowlers have looked good so far due to the pressure exerted by their batting.

Sean Bradley Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 If we face Pakistan in the finals I would already keep that trophy on our return flight. The road to championship couldn't get any easier than this for India facing Bangladesh and Pakistan. But lets get back to reality, this trophy is for England's to lose and only India can stop them from winning it, its advantage England but we played well against them in the home season, so 51-49 in favor of England.

WE walloped England in home series big time in all three formats ..4-0,2-1 and 2-1 in Tests,ODIs and T20s . The mental scars are there to exploit . However, I do not take Bangladesh lightly at all . They are one of the most improved teams from past 2-3 years and I would say 70-30 in India 's favour .India needs to play well to get across Bangladesh .

Three wins for Pakistan in a row. I am not buying it.

Asim Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Best of Luck to Ind, Eng for Final... Pak already over-achieved! sarcastic 1

Pak is the only team that can beat current England in England honestly, you need to be that crazy unpredictable Pak against England. or else you can get your arse handed which also would not be very surprising. In Indias case BD is a dangerous team, but India will be very prepared.

Pak was clearly lucky (at leaset in batting inngs) in both games we won... and 2 wins in a row is already lots of consecutive victories for #8 Pak ;) Edited June 12, 2017 by Asim Vk1 1

Give a flat pitch and eng will aim for 370 Pollack 1
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 May it happen. India v Pakistan final. I hope it does
dial_100 Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Team who won against NZ with 2 run-a-ball centuries by 5th & 6th downs, 3 of 5 top have scored centuries, other 2 have scored half centuries, scored, have comfortably scored 300s, one would write-off such a team on its own peril. India should not take them lightly. They have beaten us in WC before. Having said that, i wont be mighty surprised if it turns a mere an uneventful day for us.
chewy Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 India will be there, England v Pakistan, it's 50-50, Pak's spin could trouble England on cardiff pitch velu 1
YCCC Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Wouldn't rule it out but Pakistan need England to have a terrible day with the bat, like against SA at Lord's. Not going to happen but would like a Pak v Bangla final. An even contest and no stress of wanting one team to win over the other. India Pak would be mental in the build up but as usual the game would be an anti climax

I think SA have already given Pakistan their share of self-inflicted nervy batting collapse for the tourney, don't think its happening twice for them. Besides, England are saving the collapso stuff for the final against the winner of the India-Bangladesh semfinal. Vilander 1
