Is it time to try Krunal in place of Jadeja?

Jadeja has regressed as an ODI bowler a bit. He is a brainless batsman. Now sure K Pandya cannot match Jadeja's bowling. But somewhere we need to start grooming new players. Jadeja needs to be kept on his toes and shouldn't take his place for granted. K Pandya is also a decent fielder and although IPL is not metric but playing a sensible innings in an IPL final does speak a lot about his mental strength and character.

Apart from fielding Jadeja doesn't add anything to the side, maybe if we play in dust bowls yes but not on a batting wicket.

Not jadeja, jadeja is a bowler and krunal is an all rounder

Krunal can come in place as batsman at 6-7 and hence he cn give u an option of left arm spinner that can lead to jadeja being dropped

Absolutely Jadeja as a batsman has failed, and there is no hope there. And as a bowler, he is as inconsistent. So might just like another player who hopefully turns out more consistent and better batsman.

Krunal much better bat but worse bowler. It would be like trading one problem for another. 

 

I would replace Ashwin and Jadeja with Kuldeep and Axar.

Jadeja and Ashwin should concentrate on test matches now. No use for them in ODI cricket. I'd go on and say we need strike bowlers who can pick up wickets to win games. Bring in Kuldeep and Chahal. Wrist spinners and wicket taking options.

Will include Krunal just for the spirit and never say attitude that he would bring in .... Pandya brothers at 6 & 7 will not only provide that raw fighting edge to the batting but will also add versatility to the 5th bowling options, where one or the other or both can be used depending on the situation / pitch

After all these games jadeja has hardly had a match winning performance. Success in the test format but a flop in ODIs

Krunal would make more sense replacing a Jadhav, if we want to replace him. Does anyone think he can bowl a full 10 overs?

For Krunal to play, ideally the line up should be 5 batsmen, followed by the two Pandya brothers, and then the 4 bowlers .... Pandya brothers would combine to provide flexibility to both batting and 5th bowling option

If Jadeja is to be replaced it has to be a proper spinner like Kuldeep or Chahal who can bowl 10 overs not bits and pieces players.

If he n hardik plays toghter they both dnt need to bowl 10-10 overs, as we ll have 6 bowler

It's time we play the likes of Kuldeep and Chahal in the team.

He is our highest rated ODI bowler. 

 

Also not sure about 2 wrist spinners tbh.

 

But then again you are right Axar does sound like a poor man's Jadeja.

Krunal, Pandey and Pant all 3 are deserving. Yuvi was undeserving, has been undeserving since WC 2011...an absolute liability.
