At 87/7, could India have won if they had bowled England out for 120?

they were 87/7, we are 94/5. Be positive. ball getting older by every over.  it got easier to bat as ball got older in last two innings.

Our batsman are falling like 9 pins it hurts.

This! Their top gun was Curran, we got King Kohli & some batting left in DK & Pandya as opposed to Rashid & Broad.

Don't agree with this thread. England were 210/3 in the first innings. India were then 100/5 in response. That's Test cricket!

Exactly, just have to accept this is one of those topsy turvy test matches. Reminiscent of the famous 2005 Ashes test match here. Could well get that close.

So Dhawan and Rahane dropping Keaton and Sam costed us 72 runs.

They dropped Kohli when he was 20 in first innings. These things happen you have to overcome these drops.

It’s been a problem for a long time though with this team we are pathetic overseas, so if we have to win in these conditions we have to take these catches.

Yes of course but anyone would have taken 190 odd to chase after being behind. There are no ifs and buts in sports. Root could not have tried to take that second run and they could have scored 500

Ishant got Bairstow Stokes and Buttler in one over. These guys could have easily extended score lot more. Some fightback is expected.

My frustration if any is with Rahane who got  out at wrong time. This was Taylor made for a nice 30 from him

Rahane played poor shot again. Could easily have left it. so much out side off.
