BCCI should allow our domestic Cricketers to play in BBL

I just watched some of BBL highlights. My God these Cricketers are mediocre. The two best players are from England. The best fast bowler is from England. All I see are low scoring games with Batsmen who can barely strike over 100. If it wasn't being played in Australia, you would think its the PSL because of piss poor cricket. I think BCCI should let our domestic Cricketers to play in the BBL. And BBL should also look to buy these players. They would be much better than the Aussie reject imports like Dan Christian who only get to IPL due to Darren lehman.

I do see a Australia fast bowler named Meredith who bowled pretty fast. That's about it though. No prominent hitters or spinners or other bowlers.

It would make sense only if they are paid big money, even then the risk of injury makes this a not so exciting prospect for us. I say if they remove the salary cap let some of the fringe players play, Otherwise no need.

Indian players are restricted to the IPL to preserve the competitive advantage.  There is little to no benefit from players going overseas - these t20 leagues aren't exactly top shelf competition that would help develop players - and if they need that, they can easily get that at home with the best t20 league in the world.  

 

There is absolutely no need to generously gift Indian marketshare and eyeballs to non-Indian leagues for nothing in return value to Indian cricket.  

 

I have no problems with Indian players participating in county cricket to polish their skills though.

Better off slogging it in domestics and honing their skills.T20 wont improve them,if they are good enough to play bbl  they will make enough money from IPL itself.We dont want our promising domestic players becoming mercenaries like WI.

What we need to improve their familiarization with overseas conditions is constant India A/B tours when not playing domestics or IPL.

The cricketers are mediocre so you want our players to go there and play a mediocre level tournament?

 

I'd rather they play 50-over or first-class cricket there. We need that more than them playing more T20s.

isn't there an overlap as Ranji season/other domestics. Need to keep these tourneys as competitive as possible for optimal development as youth. Even past their best Gambhir, Yuvi, Bhaji types floating around the circuit makes a difference for youths development. I think best opportunity is to play in county and learn new skills. Plus no clash with Indian domestic season and get to escape relentless heat of Indian summer.

Then A-teams have more tours now 

Few dont wanna play domestic 

few will be injured

Now if we allow others to go to BBL .....it will affect the standard of our domestic cricket n like pak, aus , WI we might also see a downfall

Forget clash etc. Why should we risk injury to our players.. one thing they should do which will really add value is play county for two months.. rahane should definitely play also if possible pandya.. pandya will improve leaps and bounds as an all rounder. Just see curran bros

If anything few players shud be allowed to go to CPL or t20s domestic in england ....WI cricket ka thoda standard badd jayega
but only after choosing players for national, A- team and sending whoever possible county . Like from next yr let guys like Rayudu , SKY, Mandeep, raina, DK, parthiv  go.........they ll make some money in off season n will keep playing . It doesnt even clash with domestic season and neither wud they be in next Wc scheme of things

Guys I’m not asking the likes of gill or Samson or the ones in reckoning to play for india. I’m referring to the rejects that will or should never get a chance like raydud and other csk rejects.

BCCI will never let our players participate in lower standard T20 leagues and rightly so. Other cricket boards don’t deserve to make money off Indian fans.

too much T20s as it is. don't want to see the likes of kohli and bumrah burn out faster than they would otherwise. in fact, I'd be happy if this duo were to take breaks from the IPL, bilateral ODIs and T20s, etc.
