I'm sure you realize there are many factors which come into play while deciding the number of constituencies in a state. According to 2011 census Bihar has 10+ cr. population (40 LS seats) as compared to Karnataka's 6.11 cr (28 LS seats), so why do think that it is disproportional representation ? Or Bimaru states don't exercise their voting rights as responsibly as other literate states?

Population shouldn't be the sole factor. There's a reason Bihar is languishing at the bottom when it comes to development. It is the reflection of their people and the state of affairs over there. What's the point of this election when 70-80% of seats were alloted to Hindi belts. 

 

A state like Mizoram has only 2 seats alloted vs 80 seats for UP. This is a phucking joke.

The thing is Bihar maybe less in development, yet voting for the better party than some so-called developed south states, still stuck in Aryan Dravidian theory and anti hindi bull s hit.

People are the sole factor of a democratic process. 

Mizoram pop: 1 million. 

# of seat for Mizoram: 1
Mizoram pop/seat: 1 million/seat

UP pop: 200 million

# of seats for UP: 80

UP pop/seat: 2.5 million/seat

 

Mizoram is better represented in the LS than UP, FYI.

That doesn't make any sense. If they are voting for a better party, why are they still living in slums and thousands of Bihari students are migrating to Karnataka for better education.

They are slowly coming out of that Stone Age,but mind you Bihar leads the chart in giving maximum number of IAS to the country,they are not absolutely slum dwellers as you have stated

This election has turned out to be a India versus minnow ODI match where India scores 350+ and dismisses opposition for 100 in 25 overs. One sided contest.

 

The exit polls have been damn on target this time as well.
