India cements club team had Rahul Dravid play to earn a decent living before getting picked for India. He was playing for Karnataka but still not paid well enough. India cements played a crucial role before 2000s after BCCI became more influential. It patronized cricket when cricketers made little money. Mama for all his faults paid money on time which was unheard of before Vilander 1
