On Sunday, the ICC shared a tweet by ICC T20 World Cup's official handle, asking fans: "Do you wish to see fireworks from @msdhoni's willow at the 2020 T20 World Cup?" A majority of the fans replied "yes", while some went on to post memorable photos and videos of MS Dhoni in action. I hope someone in BCCI is bold enough to force Dhoni into retirement after 2019 WC. Will not be a surprise if he does keep playing. With Kohli and any other next captain (Rohit?) indebted to him there is no way he is going to be forced into retirement. Only hope is Kohli-Shastri getting the boot after this WC and a new coach coming in and trying to build a new team for the home WC. If Gill, Pant, Mayank, Iyer do not start playing LOIs after the WC, it will be a travesty. beetle 1

Back then, Dhoni strategically announced Test retirement a month before the WC to have sympathy. Was part of the larger plan to carry on till 2019. Now that we are in 2019, the planning would have begun for 2020 T20 WC and 2023 home world cup. bahubali 1
