Are Indian fans actually afraid of a CT final repeat?

Honestly I am worried about that..Took so many days to recover from that..I  can remember that Pakistan wasnt even going to qualify for CT17 and they won some series against Zim and that improved their ranking over WI and qualified as per cut off date..Losing to them was like a nightmare for me.For once, Dhoni should come out for toss against Pakistan, I dont have iota of trust on phony Kohli, that CT toss still haunts me.

Why this much tension? Aussies will most likely crush whoever comes their way in KO. We aren't favorites esp post Dhawan's injury, we have nothing to lose. Go out there and enjoy the game.

I am more scared about MC BC Kohli's Brainfart rather than our team capability. However, this anushka Or any other celebrity bust be kept away from him till the WC is over

Disgusting comment. Bringing families into this needlessly and name-calling

To me is pure hate. :om:

India winning world cup and pakistan going out of tournament . It cant get better than this.

If they came again indont of india, india will defeat them again. Ct17 was kohlis brain fart not taking batting . Otherwise it was all done.

Ditto. Facing Pakistan would be like facing a team possessed by some supernatural forces. Every result of their matches so far has been very similar to 1992 world cup. Also the way luck has been in their side, it really giving me a bad feeling.

I put t down to some of the posters being nervous characters. FOr my part, I'd thank the heavens if India faces of against Pak in the KOs. A walkover guaranteed. Pak will bungle it.

I am more worried about having to play Australia again. Pakistan is also a worry, but a minor worry compared to the Aussies. They are ruthless and demolish the teams in their path.

We can defend even 240 against Pakistan.

Also we can restrict Pakistan to very low scores if they bat first. Something which we can chase down easily as Dhoni also becomes a handy batsman in low chase.

Indian fans are unnecessarily worried.

Our team was not in best shape in CT17. The ego tussle between Kohli and Kumble. Inexperience of Bumrah, Ash Jadeja crap bowling.. there were just so many things that were not addressed.

Now we are a much better team and we should beat Pakistan.

Our target today should be to knock England out.

Then Aussie its between us and the Aussies.

Not me.

We are the only unbeaten team and some "fans" still find a wrist to slit.

I'd rather beat every team that comes our way than worry about who we face when

Middle order problem is same , infact now we don't have Shikhar. Get Rohit and Kohli out cheaply and match is in your pocket.

i  think   it all depends on 2 factors , how efficiently the team is able to  close the gap formed due to the absence of  Dhawan. Is Rahul enough  to be at least 75% of what Dhawan can be? Secondly  how this team copes with pressure of expectations from billions w.r.t   chasing a relatively  larger target.Bowlers are quality enough to bundle teams  out  for  less that 275  normally. Then it all depends on the  batsmen  to play with such composure and a well defined plan to chase that target.

For instance in this year itself India scored 299(a) & 281(h) vs even Australia by chasing of which first was a victory. Then they scored 3 more in the range 230-270 chasing  vs Aussies. That means there is no question of the calibre of this team even w.r.t chasing in the range 230-275. Then it all comes to adequate planning & handling the pressure.

Yes. In the last 2 matches, hitman fell cheaply but we were saved by Kohli putting up decent scores. If both hitman and Kohli fall cheaply, we can forget about the match. Dhoni will somehow survive and get us to respectability but that's about the max he can do. He cannot do a Coulter Nile type of counter attack to turn the tables on the opposition. Hardik is a gutsy player but I doubt he can play a long innings till the end of our overs quota. Kedar and Shankar are at best support players. They will crack under pressure.

Good post my friend. But on the funny side "enjoying the game" thinking has led to extended careers for SRT and Thala! :aha:

Last two matches were against teams that had to play qualifiers . If against good teams these players fell we will gone.
