Exceptional batsman in the making...but keeping and fielding not reliable enough for international cricket...he should evolve into a reliable keeper with a style of his own and needs extra attention

As long as his keeping keeps on improving, I am fine with growing pains as a batsman.Why are people expecting him to be finished article.If his keeping does not improve then it will be big problem.

Moreover, he should be played as wicket keeper batsmen....not just as batsmen...

For me, he is the next Gilly..

Pant's career will be decided with his bat.  

Primary role being a keeper, he will be judged on keeping. In contemporary era as keepers are expected to score runs as well, Pant will have to score runs with the bat too.

Can't call him a International keeper at test level...if there was no Saha then no choice but it is criminal to keep Saha in bench and allow a jugadu keeper in his place.
