He keeps missing stumping. Just becos someone is young and has batting potential diesnt mean Pant is or will be ever any close to MSD keeping skills or match /field placing bowling change aka captaincy skills. People can whine as much as they can. MSD keeping skills lol ...u r talking as though he is Gilchrist range wicket keeper

Popular Post express bowling Posted July 7, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 7, 2019 (edited) Dhoni is the best " keeper " I have ever seen in cricket. He has managed to keep his place in the team 3 or 4 years more than his ability allowed him to. Edited July 7, 2019 by express bowling Suhaan, kaptaan, Sgattick10 and 7 others 10
sage Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 33% of the byes in the ENTIRE group stage was by Thala. What a man asterix, Turning_track, Laaloo and 1 other 4
ShoonyaSifar Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 Number of dismissals by keepers - 108, Dhoni’s contribution 9 of them I.e. 8% dismissals But 24 byes out of 71 total conceded by keeper, a staggering 33%. Add to it so many chances missed, wrong DRS calls and horrible collections with repeated fumbles. But have you heard even a squeak in the media? Compare this to what Pant had to go through in his debut series. That’s the Dhoni PR mafia for you. How best to identify this mafia, check every media outlet highlighting Dhoni’s hand in first 4 wickets yesterday Turning_track, Laaloo, Suhaan and 2 others 2 3
Texan Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 But but but he told the bowler to bowl a Yorker in the last over and bowler got a hat trick thanks to his invaluable, incredibly innovative, extraordinarily brilliant thinking. So his slow batting and bad wicket-keeping don't matter. New guy, sage and addicted4444 3

So his slow batting and bad wicket-keeping don't matter. Have you noticed how his PR mafia has gone very quiet on the plans he makes for our spinners. As long as KulCha were picking loads of wickets, invariably the sponsored campaign used to highlight pics of Dhoni advising them or effecting magical stumpings. KulCha need Dhoni to do well was the oft used argument. All quiet so far in the WC though. Focus is now on advice during death overs. Adi BB, Vijy and Laaloo 3

I firmly believe test match is a straight shootout between bowler and batsman while backroom staff can make and pass on plan strategy to bowlers and skipper. So you don’t see any TDH bowler or bat representing test team, while skippers can afford tomloose few sessions and still win the game. In limited over, there is no such luxury. Its boiler room situation and you can see how Kohli has performed in limited overs.

Different standards for different people I guess. now, now Gollum-ji. you should remember that dhoni the greybeard is old, senile, deaf, and blind. hence, we should cut our elders some slack as per tradition, no?

I have no issues with people claiming that MSD is slow to react and is now on las legs or basically he isn’t the same. But to call every TDH as nxt Dhoni is either not understanding his overall importance as keeper, skipper, bat match winner or doing the Lahori logic that Azam is next Kohli on basis of one match winning inning.

I guess he made the one DRS mistake, which might acceptable if it wasn’t Jason Roy. And they launched into us immediately, if we had that breakthrough we could have probably shaved off another 10 - 20 runs from total & May be could have even won the game. That’s why ppl are pissed abt it. mishra 1
nikred Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 We already saw in tests. First Saha : miles ahead in keeping from thaila then Pant: miles ahead of thaila in batting. There are actually some Dhoni fans who think Dhoni is the best keeper in India at the moment even better than Saha. [emoji849]Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using Tapatalk maniac and Pollack 1 1

Dhoni’s absence from Tests was not felt even for a day despite him running away like a coward in the middle of an Away series and 2 months before the 2015 WC. Same will happen in LOI if grandpa sees the reality and stops hogging a place purely for his commercial interests
