His eye sight is getting worse. He has to make the call quickly. He had a lot of collection issues. Every other ball was a fumble.

His hearing is also getting worse and he's useless for DRS calls. Janitor at the back of the stadium probably knows if there was an edge better

Its a lesson for selection, they gave a filmsy excuse in not selecting Pant, for his low wicket keeping skills?. But dhoni himself is not that good

Pant doesn’t stand a chance as keeper for odis when compared to MSD. Even in tests his byes count is massive per test. He keeps missing stumping. Just becos someone is young and has batting potential diesnt mean Pant is or will be ever any close to MSD keeping skills or match /field placing bowling change aka captaincy skills. People can whine as much as they can.

Against England, he seemed not in game. I am certain that he will be retiring soon. But comparing Pant to Thala is undermining Thalas legacy. The day MSD is out of team, we will see how next keeper and skipper performs.

We already saw in tests. First Saha : miles ahead in keeping from thaila then Pant: miles ahead of thaila in batting.
