Kohli's thought process

I see that he has a different mindset altogether. For him, winning a trophy is always a secondary. He is more content in seeing where we are in rankings and winning these meaningless bilaterals. There is a reason why Kedhar Jadhav is playing today, why MSD isn't going to retire anytime soon. 

He will take extreme pride in winning a test series in Australia when smith/warner were not around. But he hardly bothers about defeat in Eng and South Africa and keeps reminding us that the scoreline betrays the intensity of the series and stuff. And not to forget on how he hinges on to the captaincy of RCB inspite of the pathetic results.

 

Fundamentally, its his mindset that is wrong.

I don't agree with the money matters since he might have realized how MSDs stocks grew after he lifted the worldcup. VK not wining a major trophy on his own will be a huge black mark in his career.

I'd say it's more about spinning achievements and downplaying under performance, rather than a preference for bilaterals. Shastri influence. Can imagine how loudly Shastri and Kohli would be thumping their chests if they won major tournaments.

Its a pacifist mindset .similar to 90 South Africa . So much method but no madness . 

 

The semifinal was a good example . Dark clouds . See off 5 overs . Maybe send a b Kumar to bat out boult . But rigid plans and lack of flexibility . 

 

Add Nd emphasis on experience and u have decent success in tests but poor in finals .

 

he is v happy to be in semifinal’s . Almost Nehru like . Things will change only if he is dropped from odi and t20 captaincy . He lacks team building and strategic approach 

 

I criticise Dhoni but think peak Dhoni with bum rah st his disposal would have won us twice the trophies

he doesn't have much of a brain, so it's unfair to expect him to have "thought processes". same applies to bewda, except even more so: all bewdi can "think" about is the next keg of beer and hot girls to run after.

His thought process is simple. He knows most other teams are ****/mediocre so no matter how many blunders he commits in terms of selection, India will still win 60%+ of it's games and will continue to make the Semis of all ICC events as well which means his position as a captain is safe. He and his cronies will continue to occupy all malaai waala postings in both LOI formats for the near future and all the tailunts will be kept at an arms length with useful idiots like Jadhav, Pandey, Karthik being continuously recycled.

90s RSA actually won an ICC event in 1998 though. Under Kohli India are reduced to being the most high profile jobbers in the events that matter.

There's no thought process. Rat's thought process is to act aggressive on the field like yelling at opponents and younger teammates while being totally not aggressive regarding field placements, team selection and not bowling or playing the bowler that the opp batsmen hate to play against (eg- Bhuvi over Shami vs NZ in the semis). His attitude is like most Indians are stupid so get some bilateral ODI wins (not overseas test wins against the big sides) to placate the gullible masses while sucking donkey balls at multinational tournaments like world cups and champions trophy and sena tests. If Steve Smith was playing last series in Aus, rat would have lost that too in humiliating fashion
