Vancouver Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 Arun Jaitley won any popular election during his political career? Did he enjoyed popularity among masses like Modi? IMO leaders like Arun Jaitley and Venkaiah Naidu have no legacy, no achievements whatsoever.

I am all for name changing ,especially change those which are named after barbaric mughal invaders but this particular move is silly. Arun jaitley has nothing to do with cricket and that area has historic significance, but you cant expect the whole party (bjp) to be clean and thoughtful ,there will always be some dolts ! DDCA President from 1999-2013, the current stadium (including the residential academy, practice facilities, structured support system for young cricketers) was his brain child and was built without much financial support from BCCI. BCCI Vice President from 2000-2013. Was the legal brain during nearly all crucial BCCI legal fights. Am reasonably sure if he had remained active in cricket administration post 2013, there was no way Supreme Court could have done what it’s been doing to BCCI since 2015.

Lannister Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 What a joke...! On other news, BJP high command has made Laxman Savadi as a deputy CM of Karnataka, who was caught watching porn in assembly and actually lost the elections.

The ground is at the historical city established by Firuz and thus has a lot of significance in view of our medieval chronicles. Regarding his Jehadi activities, why stop at Firuz then, why not just rename anything even remotely related to our Islamic past since let's be honest almost all the major Muslim rulers probably held the similar views (with notable exceptions such as Akbar etc). And wait why do you presume that those who are criticising this move were the ones who silently accepted Congress era renaming spree? Two wrongs don't make a right. Accepting a wrong makes it wrong i wouldn’t want to live in a city named after a guy who believed that other religions and their beliefs are inferior , hence can kill / loot their women etc. would u not rename a Reginald Dyer chowk in Amritsar to a Shahid Bhagat Singh chowk? just cos ur moronic history textbooks created by congress fail to mention the mass murders done by ghazni to tipu sultan doesnt mean they were less guilty then Dyers . Popular Post SUMO Posted August 29, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 29, 2019 Q: Was arun jaitley a cricketer? A: How many centuries feroz shah has scored along with bradman? Q: what's his contribution for cricket? A: served as DDCA president for 14 years during 1999-2013. Viru, gauti, virat, ashish, aakash all debuted in this period and they hail jaitley's contribution. Q: why not make a new stadium to name it on arun jaitley? A: He got the stadium renovated with modern facilities, increasing it's capacity with world class dressing rooms. Q: Then, Name it on a famous cricketer. A: I agree. But that's the different issue. I will prefer Arun Jaitley's name anyday over Feroz shah, an invader, iconoclast, temple destroyer, jihadist. Lane is pretty low profile but still wish these Aurangzebs and Timurs are removed from usage. Just like Israelis wouldn't like stuff named after Hitler/Himmler. Simple funda, our medieval era saw the world's greatest genocide sustained over many centuries.....those maniacs don't have any place in modern society. Ironhide 1
Moochad Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Radical idea: sports stadiums should be named after Sporting figures. Extend that to everything...
