Arun Jaitley won any popular election during his political career? Did he enjoyed popularity among masses like Modi?

 

IMO leaders like Arun Jaitley and Venkaiah Naidu have no legacy, no achievements whatsoever.

Arun jaitley has nothing to do with cricket and that area has historic significance, but you cant expect the whole party (bjp) to be clean and thoughtful ,there will always be some dolts !

DDCA President from 1999-2013, the current stadium (including the residential academy, practice facilities, structured support system for young cricketers) was his brain child and was built without much financial support from BCCI. 

 

BCCI Vice President from 2000-2013. Was the legal brain during nearly all crucial BCCI legal fights.  Am reasonably sure if he had remained active in cricket administration post 2013, there was no way Supreme Court could have done what it’s been doing to BCCI since 2015.

It has already been renamed as APJ Abdul Kalam road in 2014.

That lane is in Okhla, a Muslim area in Delhi (near NDTV HQ I think), named by AAP Islamist Amanatullah Khan as revenge when Modi govt renamed the famous (Lutyens wallah) Aurangzeb road after APJ.

Q: what's his contribution for cricket?

A: served as DDCA president for 14 years during 1999-2013. Viru, gauti, virat, ashish, aakash all debuted in this period and they hail jaitley's contribution.

 

Q: why not make a new stadium to name it on arun jaitley?

A: He got the stadium renovated with modern facilities, increasing it's capacity with world class dressing rooms.

Dunno about that but there is one in Okhla, it became a big controversy then.

 

Lane is pretty low profile but still wish these Aurangzebs and Timurs are removed from usage. Just like Israelis wouldn't like stuff named after Hitler/Himmler. Simple funda, our medieval era saw the world's greatest genocide sustained over many centuries.....those maniacs don't have any place in modern society.
