Dube is a lower order bat and hence doesn't get to face too many balls in T20s. His list A strike rates are a fair indication of his big hitting talent. His bowling abilities add an extra facet to his game although it remains to be seen if it is good enough for international standards.

Gill is a proper batsman and will probably end up having the longest career amongst the three, but in my opinion it will be better to introduce him in tests or Odi's. With Rohit,Shikhar,Virat,KL and Iyer as proper batsmen in the squad we hardly have any more room for technically correct assured batsmanship in T20s. We need big hitting allrounders(Dube) or wk-batsmen(Pant,Samson).

Do you know why India won 2007 t20 wc ? Recently Yuvraj said that they had no pressure from seniors it was very young team which expressed themselves.In current team top three are above 30 and they have modest t20 record in terms of strike rate.Gill opened in 5 innings in IPL and has average of around 55 with  s/r over 140.This guy has immense potential who can improve by leaps and bounds once given opportunity.I strongly believe considering his technique this guy can play with s/r of around 150 with avg around 50 as opener,if he is groomed properly.

But Kohli is narcissistic person.His jealousy for foreign batsmen was apparent when he asked those Indians who like them to leave country.This guy cant tolerate Indian batsman taking limelight away from him.Thus,he will delay the entry of Gill.It was selectors who forcefully selected Gill in test squad.MSK had said that Gill is player for all three format.

I don’t get it. We may not like Shastri but why is the coach left out of a selection meeting?

 

Doesn’t this prove Shastri is a yes man theory.

 

Also hope there is nothing personal here and we don’t want a padosi style grudge matche here between dada and Shastri.

 

Also looks like Dada has personal experience with coach interfering in selection with the whole Chappell saga but in that case Chappell was right even though it wasn’t handled well.

 

Funny thing is how polar opposite are we to the Pakistanis 

 

We barred the head coach from selection committee meetings while they made their head coach the chief selector

Ideally this would be the best squad but I don't think they'll drop Dhawan. Samson will probably have to wait.

If Dube doesn't get to bat(which is quite probable), I just hope they don't form judgements based on his bowling alone.

What is so special in khaleel?

Not every lefty is wasim akram. 

 

Shardul thakur is a trundler, even if he increases his speed there's no chance of him having a good career cos of his height. 

 

Deepak chahar is another ipl specialist. 

Dunno why the selectors aren't picking those under 19 cup fast bowlers. 

 

Siraj is another spraygun in lois but he hasn't played test(his best format) so can't say much about him but its quite evident that theres no x factor in his bowling. 

The way he gets plundered in death overs in ipl suggests that he has no brains. 

 

 

Nagarkoti, mavi, porel, avesh are all better than these ipl specialists.

Don't worry. Pandey ji will not be in the playing11.

He has been selected only to be on the field as a substitute fielder , and take a few outstanding catches.

Ganguly was questioning the exclusion of Gill few weeks back ! What happened to him now ? It is Kohli who is blocking Gill,not the selectors.MSK Parasad has repeatedly said that Gill is player for all three formats.

It is not just t20,look at test selection.Gill is best player to play lateral movement in India.Playing against Dukes ball in WI he scored more runs in 3 innings than what Agarwal could not score in 8 innings(both test and A games).Both Agarwal and Rohit,predominately flat wicket players,are being promoted ahead of him.World test championship final will be held at Lords where last time India was all out on score of 107 and 130 respectively.Their ass will be kicked again like what happened in wc semi where these top order flat wicket bullies could not chase 240.
