mani sha Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Hi guys , I noticed how we used to be poor in fielding in the 90s and Jonty showed us what fielding can be .. what is ur pick for top 3 asian outfielders of all time ? mine are jadeja r singh robin jadeja a ranatunga ( just kidding ) I don’t think I remember a good pakistani outfielder ( poyz like biryani ) think Sri Lanka have decent outfielders but none of class of above 3

Solkar for close in, Mahela or Younis in slips, Dilshan infield. Outfielding contenders will be MAK Pataudi (1st great Indian fielder), Azhar, both Jadejas, Raina, Kaif, Robin Singh, Kapil (for his era), Sanath, Mahanama, Chandana (remember from young days, thought he was a specialist fielder cos his bowling sucked), Dilshan, Mahela, UV, Kohli, Shoaib Malik, brother Soumya but sample size there is too low..remember a few blinders by him in 2016 WT20. I will choose Jaddu as the greatest outfielder out of this lot, he is among the best of all time there. Yuvi and Kaif are actually not at par with Jaddu. Kaif in particular, did not have the throwing arm that Jaddu has. Jaddu throws effortless flat bullets from the deep. This is a fast-twitch muscle thing that you are either born with or not. I'm not sure Pandya has it either. Raina was a top calibre fielder in his prime, but got fat and less mobile, although as a catcher he's right up there with Kaif and Jaddu. Mariyam 1

Pandya can bowl 140, so, he certainly does have fast twitch fibers but still I would rate jaddu as he is doing it for 8-10 years now.
