MPs can be businessmen, lawyers, doctors, actors, farmers, writers or jorunalists, like any other common man but a MP cannot be a cricket selector or a full time commentator (for 50-60 days in a year)? Earlier top ministers like Late Madhav Rao Scindia and Sharad Pawar have been powerful BCCI Presidents. But with Gambhir, somehow the expectation is to be a full time politician. Find that to be strange. He has a 75% attendance, has asked lots of questions, brought even a private bill and is doing lots of work in his constituency. He can definitely do more, but he is not an absetnee MP.

Kohli is biased,he obviously is too close to Dhawan.its painfully obvious Dhawan doesnt have the all round stroke making ability of KL,he has very limited shot range.

That's what everyone else is saying too. He is the second highest scorer in IPL.. so he should continue playing IPL, but spare T20 Intl

Taking an example that was an year ago and didnt translate in international perfomnace. Calling everyone opinion politics who have the facts against him. Don't even argue with the above poster with logic. I have tried and found it wasteful. Its like throwing pearls at pigs. Even if the whole ICF and ex cricketers disagree with him, he will back Dhawan and his dilli mates. He said he did fine against Ban and SL. First of all, these are not too powerful teams. Second of all, he didnt perform that greatly. I know he will respond to this post stating his IPL stats and other bs trying to circumvent the discussion. Don't even bother.

On topic, full marks to gambhir on saying the plain truth. Its often bitter but someone has to look into the harshness of truth and say it out loud. Hopefully Kohli listens to it. I'm not gonna watch the world cup if he keeps playing his old boy network. It already screwed up last years 50 over world cup and its a waste of time to watch it repeat and also watch his bs super v ads

Dhawan has what even Fab Four did not have - his wife is the best friend of captain’s wife.
 

I don’t even remember seeing wives of Sachin, Dravid, VVS, Dada in any team pics, forget being friends with Sakshi.

He is an ideal candidate for becoming a selector.

He has talked about not believing in numbers and the impact instead. This is very true. The way he fought tooth and nail to get Saini in is commendable.
