Which was more humiliating: Champions Trophy Final loss to Pakistan or U19 World Cup Final loss to Bangladesh?

To me the champions trophy 17 was disappointing because we thrashed them in the league stages only to be thrashed again in the final. And to make the matters worse, it was against Pak and the reaction that followed by the fans in UK and online was abysmal It only shows their hate in full expression. It wasn't just sporting rivalry but all out war that day. Under 19 loss against Bangla bros isn't that bad. Its good entertainment. Bang bros showing their aggression and excitement is very funny indeed

U-19 boys gave it back to the Toygers who provoked us both during the match and after it was over. Brat should learn from them...

Every loss is humiliating but CT was worst. We don't know how good U19 squad is and BD might be better but in CT India was the better team.

It is a sport, any team can win on their day.How is Kohli laughing with Pakistani players is bad ? He is playing a game not fighting a war, people need to get a life.

Why should either of the losses be humiliating for the spectators/supporters?

 

If anything, the players should feel the burn. Kohli and Yuvraj (based on their actions after the game) didn't feel much. Pandya on the other hand was absolutely furious when Jadeja got him runout. He was totally livid even when the camera panned on him in the pavilion.

So smiling with opposition makes Yuvraj and Kohli bad? They gave their best on that day and the other team won, are they not allowed to smile or joke with opposition?

I have nothing but respect for Yuvraj Singh. His contributions in the 2007 and 2011 tournaments and his fight back from cancer.

I didn't say it makes them bad.

But it does give us (the spectators) the impression that they weren't too bothered by the loss. At least not visibly.

And if the captain of the team can laugh it off, why should I, as a supporter feel humiliated?

 

After the match Kohli said that the team had a bad day and the better team on the day won. 9/10 times India would have won that match. We happened to have an off day. It is a perfectly logical explanation and one that I buy. Where is the question of humiliation then?

The more depressing loss was in semi finals against NZ.They should have won that match.Yesterday after the batting collpase , making the match go that long was an achievement.

there is no humiliation what so ever in sports...especially in cricket where toss decides a lot . One team would lose and another would win.

If you feel humiliated in losing a  game  played  after all by 11 individuals , better not watch the game.

under 19 defeat doesn't hurt or shouldn't ever hurt over the National team losing a big final even if under 19 team loses a final or lose a game against Papua New Guinea.

no level headed person would get humiliated over sports loses. Yes would get  largely disappointed... there should not be no word such as 'humiliation' for fans

Yes reminds me of both of our neighbors' forums, having said that Bangers did see it as a "revenge" for their loss at Asia Cup. Say what you will about our U19 team, or the seniors for that matter, we surely aren't as bad as the brain dead chumps from the east or the west

Ffs they are ametuer kids..  The team that lost in 2017 was a professional team with apparently the so called greatest ODI batsman at 3. Young bang bros looked alright and deserved the win. Losing to a piss poor Pak team was certainly more humiliating.

to tell it frankly ,that has a lot to do with their religion in general. This same mentality can cause more damage than good to them in general.All India need to do is keep level headed as much as possible  irrespective of results.
